OFF-SEASON WEEKS REMAIN AT $1,000 PER WEEK, primarily JUNE 12 - JUNE 19.??So step back in time and enjoy your next summer vacation in Thousand Island Park, an old Victorian community where children are free to roam and dream; where teenagers gather round an open firepit to sing folksongs and gaze at the Milky Way; where parents stroll to the old-fashioned ice cream parlor for an after-dinner treat; where aging boomers relax on waterfront benches to watch the ebb and flow of the St. Lawrence River.?Located at the western end of Wellesley Island where the 1000 Islands International Bridge connects the United States with Canada, Thousand Islands Park is a short drive from the bustling modern cities of Kingston or Ottawa, Canada, or the nightclubs and tourist attractions of Alexandria Bay and Clayton, New York.?This charming Victorian, close to the Tabernacle, Ice Cream Parlor, Hotel, Playground, and Tennis and Basketball Courts, features four large bedrooms (a double with full bath on lst floor; a double with two doors to upper porch on 2nd floor; a double and twin bed bunks in huge bedroom 2nd floor; and lovely room with one single bed on 2nd floor)two full baths, one on first floor; one on second. Eat around a large dining room table, park kids at an old-fashioned table in the kitchen, or enjoy the large side yard with grill and picnic table. ??Rockers on the large front porch offer relaxing views of Thousand Island Park, while the second story porch off the master bedroom is perfect for an afternoon of quiet reading.

This is an old Victorian cottage built in 1885. A marvelous front porch and upper porch off the master bedroom make it a pure delight for a family vacation. It is fully furnished, although guests must bring their own sheets, bath towels, bath mats, and pillow cases. Blankets and all other bedding are provided, as are basic cooking needs like flour, sugar, spices. The cottage has three double and three single beds. There is large family dining room, a small kitchen table for snacks, and dishes and cooking implements for all cooking needs. AC is not needed, but the days in summer are warm. The community boasts its own hotel, library, ice cream parlor, children's playground, baseball diamond, basketball court, tennis courts, docks, swimming coves, chapel, shops, and old-fashioned tabernacle with church services & free movies 4 times/week. It's summer camp for the whole family.

This is a summer cottage, so while the area has winter sports, the cottage is closed from before Thanksgiving until Mother's Day. One can even go to Canada and enjoy a near-by casino, as well as the international flavor of Canadian cities and towns.

$150 non-refundable registration fee, applied to rent after three references checked. Returned if references don't check out. Remaining rent due in two installments, or one installment if guest prefers, payable before April 1, 2010. If rent after April 1, 2010, rent due in one installment. Additional fees: $60 mandatory cleaning fee; $175 security deposit returned 14 days after rental if no damage; $50/week use fee payable to the Thousand Island Park Corporation. Discount: 2.5 percent of total rental amount if all fees paid prior to March 1, 2010. Rentals are from 4 pm on the check-in Saturday until 11 am on the check-out Saturday. Payment is by check made payable to the owner.
