Inspired by thoughts of 'When in New York do as New Yorkers do," we at Country Inn the City set out to create the kind of accommodation that was more native than tourist; an antidote to the typical hotel route, if you will.

Although we are more bed and breakfast than hotel, this is not the kind of accommodation where you will find cutesy decor and interfering hosts. Your self-contained Upper West Side apartment is your own and you are free to come and go as you please. Our rates are well below those of comparative hotels.

Our target market is the discerning adult traveler (sorry no children, doubles or singles only) in search of a high quality yet less expensive alternative to hotels. NOTE: We are not a typical fly by night apartment set-up: rather we are a legitimate enteprise with a solid reputation to protect. We are located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, a perfect place for one to experience New York City living in a desirable neighborhood, one not so far from the tourist attractions as to be considered inconvenient. The critics are unanimous and they found us. We did not find them. No other big city small hotel alternative has received this much good press. Low Season Price : $230 High Season Price : $375 per Day
Visa or Mastercard for deposits only (Overseas only). US Residents must pay deposit via check. Approximately 25% is required at time of booking. Balance is due in either cash, travelers checks, money order, cashiers check or company check upon arrival. Cancellation policy is 30 days for the deposit and 14 to 21 days for the balance LESS nights refilled. We have a 3 night minimum but priortize for weekly reservations when booking far in advance. High season is the spring, the fall and Christmas/New Years, or holiday periods.
