Location: Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA (30 min's to JFK a. La Guardia airports,15 min's to Manhattan)

This newly renovated 3-bedroom second-floor apartment (ca. 1000 sq.ft) with 2 full bath rooms is located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, NY. Hardwood floors and original detail in this 100-yr-old limestone house provide for a comfortable 'home away from home’ for up to seven adults and two children (or seven adults - no children; or less adults - more children).
Sunset Park is the southern extension of Park Slope, one of Brooklyn’s most attractive areas with restaurants, cafés and shopping.
It is a one-minute, one-block walk from Sunset Park, a park with public basket ball courts, chess board tables, a large playground, a summer outdoor sprinkler and - a particular bonus in tropical Brooklyn - one of this borough's best public outdoor pools (open July/Aug, no admission). Experience Brooklyn communal life in a safe environment with a spectacular view of Manhattan and the waterway leading up to it. Sunsets a specialty.

Very convenient commute to Manhattan (5-10 min walk to subway, N, D express-trains 10 min's to Union Square, local R and M trains 5 min’s to Pk Slope).

We ask our guests to respect the fact that SPVH is a private residence and to keep noise to a minimum. No parties, no smoking (including stoops and boardwalk in front of the house).

[This happens on a first-come first-serve basis.] PAYMENT We accept payment by credit card (Master, Visa) over the phone. CANCELATIONS If you cancel more than 60 days before check-in, your deposit will be returned. If you cancel less than 60 days before check-in, you will forfeit two thirds of your deposit (we return one third of your deposit to you). If you cancel less than 30 days before check-in, you will forfeit your full deposit. The first day of the rental, there will be no refunds for any reason. No credit will be given for shortened stays due to late arrival or early departure for any reason. No cancellation due to weather. We recommend that you purchase Trip Cancellation Insurance. We (6 adults) spent a great time at Brooklyn Guesthouse. It is a nice and comfortable apartment with all things you need for a perfect vacation with familiy or friends. Manhattan is available by subway within 20 minutes, the subwaystation is just 5 minutes by foot. Thank you for the great time, the pleasant conversations, your assistance and for the very nice place to be. We will spend our next vacation in NYC at your guesthouse if it is possible.

Nous avons passer 15 jours à New York (juillet 2011) en famille. Ville extraordinaire toujours en mouvement, on ne peut s'y ennuyer. Nous avons trouver le logement de Stefen et Wagaye sur Internet et nous ne le regrettons. Il est exactement comme sur le site, spacieux, pratique avec tout le confort et très propre. Il est situé dans un quartier calme avec de bons restaurants mexicains, asiatiques, il y en a pour tous les goûts. Il n'est pas loin d'une station de métro (environ 10 minutes à pieds) qui nous emmène rapidement sur Manhattan.
Très bon contact avec les propriétaires qui sont toujours présents pour rendre service.
C'est une adresse à retenir et nous y retournerons dès que nous en aurons la possibilité;
Merci encore, Wagaye et Stefen pour votre chaleureux accueil et nous sommes désolés d'avoir mis tout ce temps pour faire notre commentaire.

Dear Owner:

Our family of four (mom, dad, 14 yr. old and 10 yr. old) had a fantastic time visiting in New York.

Your apartments was the perfect refuge from busy (but fun) days in Manhattan. Having two bathrooms was a real bonus. There was plenty of hot water and great water pressure in the showers. The air conditioning cooled the apartment nicely and allowed for a good night's sleep. The beds were very comfy and our kids loved having the wi-fi for their ipods.

The neighbourhood was a great experience. It was neat to see the various people and families coming and going throughout the day. The local dining fare was great as well - "A Slice of Brooklyn" pizzaria and the "Sunset Diner" were just a couple of great choices for great food!

Sunset Park was nearby for relaxing and "people watching". Lots of grocery stores and restaurants nearby left us wanting for nothing.

Thanks again for your hospitality and hope to visit you again one day!

vielen lieben Dank für die nette Betreuung während unseres New York Aufenthalts. Wir hatten die ganze Zeit das Gefühl, Urlaub bei Freunden zu verbringen. Obwohl wir zu sechst waren, war die Wohnung noch groß genug. Besonders geschätzt haben wir die sehr ruhige Lage und das mitten in Brooklyn. Die Metro war in einigen Minuten erreichbar und im Nu war man mitten in Manhattan.
Sehr herzlich möchten wir uns aber auch für die guten Tipps und für die Hilfe bei organisatorischen Fragen bedanken. Einige von uns planen schon den nächsten Urlaub bei Ihnen. Wir können die Wohnung und ihren Service sehr empfehlen.

We stayed here dec26-jan2 2010-2011 . It was quite a wonderful surprise. The pictures do not do this place justice. Very comfortable, great for my family ...much much better than a hotel! Small stores on the corners of each block made it quite easy to grocery shop. A few blocks from the subway and a residential neighborhood made it feel like we lived there. We felt quite safe in this area. Lots of resteraunts and shops and a park a couple of blocks away . We really enjoyed our stay as it was our first to NYC ....this made the stay way more comfortable, especially since we arrived during a blizzard !!!!

We selected this apartment for its proximity to our son living in Sunset Park, but we enjoyed it for its extraordinary comfort and hominess over Christmas. Unexpected pleasures were the superb beds, thick towels, bright breakfast nook, light-filled windows, large tiled shower in tasteful second bathroom, and workability for the four of us while accommodating daily visits and meals with our son and his girlfriend. We felt we had a home base and absolutely everything we needed to enjoy a special time together. The separation of space was excellent for naps and reading-alone quiet times. This welcoming home made our stay especially delightful, and we are grateful.

...zum Hochzeitstag in NewYork > das war cool
...zum Hochzeitstag zu Zweit in diesen großzügigen Räumen > das war noch cooler!
Am Erkerfenster sitzen und rausschauen auf eine ruhige Strasse und doch so nah ( 25 Min.) an Manhattan > auch cool
Alles war OK, selbst das Wetter hat gepasst und Parkplätze gab´s auch!
Fazit: Demnächst werden wir wohl wiederkommen! Mit unseren Kindern!

Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de cette location. Appartement tres propre, spacieux, calme et en plus pas tres loin des stations de metro (10 min à pieds), sans oublier l'accueil chaleureux des proprietaires, toujours disponibles en cas de besoin.
Nous recommandons vraiment cette location. Nous y reviendrons certaiement pour la prochaine fois.

Very impressed by that location: very clean, lots of room, quiet and close of the subways ( 10min walking). A special point for the owners, always here if you nedd something.
We really recommand this location. The next time we will certainly come here.

Liebe Bauers, vielen Dank für einen tollen Urlaub! Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und verkehrsgünstig gelegen. Von einem netten Park um eine Ecke hat man einen Superblick auf Manhattan. Nachts ist es ruhig, was einen wohltuenden Kontrast zu dem doch eher quirligen Manhattan bietet. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und großzügig geschnitten. Die Betten sind ebenfalls großzügig und sehr gut. Rundum ist ein Aufenthalt zu empfehlen und wir (drei Erwachsene und zwei Teenager) planen schon den nächsten Aufenthalt.
