If the booking is canceled within 1 month of travel, 50% of the outstanding rental fee is due via Paypal.

Excellent base for exploring NY...and Brooklyn.

For a first time visit to the USA, this was the perfect place to stay ! Emma has provided an excellent, well equipped and comfortable apartment.
She gave much useful advice and tips on getting around and really helped by being approachable and keen for us to get the best from our stay.
The property in well sited for the subway into Manhattan, not forgetting the delights of Brooklyn itself. Many good places to eat nearby and a short hop to the Brooklyn Bridge.
We had a really fabulous time, and is does make a difference to have a good 'home from home' to return to after self induced fatigue, caused by busy days exploring !
We cannot recommend this apartment too highly !

Summer in the city

We spent a wonderful NYC vacation in July 2012. Apart from all the impressive New York sights, this was mainly due to our friendly and absolutely helpful host Emma James and her beautiful apartment. A friend had recommended us to book one of Emma’s comfortable apartments in Brooklyn. So we did, and when we arrived there, we found a lovely place to stay for our one-week vacation: two nicely-furnished bedrooms and a cosy living room with a fully- equipped kitchen, and an absolutely clean bathroom, too. If not for all the famous sights of New York, we could as well have spent a great time “at home” during the whole week– because that is what we felt when we got back from our daily city tours late in the evening enjoying the nice atmosphere of the air-conditioned rooms at Emma’s apartment. We could easily relax from the summer heat outside, and particularly our 14-year-old son enjoyed our special daily rhythm which had nothing to do with the usual eating habits or times for breakfast, lunch or dinner that you have to follow at any hotel. So, if you are planning a stay in NYC, one of Emma’s apartments in Brooklyn is the place to be. You will enjoy the perfect accommodation for an individually-organized holiday, Emma’s house being situated only a few minutes away from the subway station that takes you straight to Manhattan within 20 minutes (trains running 24 hours a day). Experience a wonderful vacation in New York City and have a great stay at Emma’s, who is always prepared to give very useful advice of any kind and at any time. Enjoy your holiday. We did!

Best apartment, best location and best host!

Stayed at the this excellent apartment for a week just before Christmas - a great time to visit New York and had the best time largely due to our accommodation. It was good to be outside of Manhattan to experience the real NY but conveniently situated for everything. It's 2 minutes from the subway so couldn't have been better. Emma is a great host and recommended the coolest places that wouldn't be on the tourist trail. So best apartment, best location and best host, win, win, win. Thanks Emma.

Perfect spot for a family

My 4 children and I spent a fabulous 6 days in NYC staying in Emma's lovely apartment. The apartment had everything we needed. Room for 5, full kitchen and a nice outlook to the back garden. The subway was literally a 3 minute walk away and it was an easy and safe way to get into and out of Manhatten. Laundromat, cafes and supermarket are all within a short walking distance.
Emma was the most perfect host, especially as we were delayed in getting to NY. She has a wealth of knowledge and will gladly help you with any information.
My children and I loved the place and we will definitely be back.....once we save our pennies!

APARTMENT IN BROOKLYN, NEW YORK

My wife and I selected this apartment for our one week in New York as we wanted to have quick and good public transport access into Manhatten each day for sightseeing and typical tourist type interest. We found the apartment to be excellant, well fitted out with everything needed, very clean and close to local shopping for day to day supplies plus a good selection of restaurants within walking distant of the apartment.
The apartment is well located for a selection of underground service. We purchased a weekly pass and got our moneys worth as its so easy to use and get around.
Our host, Emma was a wealth of knowledge and help during our stay. We definately recommend these apartments as a good base for a stay in the Big Apple.

We have just stayed in the studio apartment this september and found it very comfortable with everything we needed including a coffee maker, fridge, microwave and iron. It is in a perfect location for Manhattan which we found it very easy to travel to and from everyday, with 2 subway stations nearby. Emma and James were extremely helpful before and during our stay, willing to answer any questions that we had. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone wanting a great quality holiday at a budget price in NYC.

We have just stayed at the apartment and found it perfect in every way. Emma was very helpful to us on our first visit to NYC and the location was easy to access Manhattan and all other districts. Would recommend this accommodation to all and everyone. Just a perfect stay with a perfect host. Would definately stay there again .
