Vacation Rental Description
An old style two story house, facing the bay, 2 blocks from beach. Newly renovated kitchen, outdoor grill in backyard, laundry on back porch. Large living room, dining room, front porch. 5 bedrooms, 2 with bay windows, stepping out onto spacious wrap-around sleeping porch. Bedrooms sleep 9, and sleeping porch offers two sets of trundle beds which can be used as singles, or pulled out to make doubles. One set is in a secluded shady corner, the other is sunny, overlooking the bay. Corner porch sofa is also comfy for sleeping, extra cot available. One must walk through one of three large bedrooms to reach the sleeping porch. Full bath downstairs, toilet upstairs with sinks in each bedroom, outdoor shower.
The house is not air conditioned however old-fashioned cross-ventilation keeps it cool.
A favorite feature of the house are the upper and lower porches looking out on the bay. We watch the ferries come and go, and upstairs is great for reading and getting away. It feels a bit like being on an ocean liner. Sunset is best spent on the front porches or the private walk to the bay.
