Vacation Rental Description
"Rock Ledge" is a beautiful three bedroom, two bath chalet style home. The deck over looks quiet Church Pond in the 'Saranac Inn' area of the Adirondack Mountains. (The Saranac Inn area consists of Upper Saranac Lake, and several smaller satellite lakes called "Ponds".) The back of the property borders the 8th tee of the championship 18 hole Saranac Inn Golf Course. Take in a morning tee off and stop 'home' for lunch! Fine handcrafted furniture and antiques make up the comfortable Adirondack style interior. Sleeps up to eight comfortably, with additional sleeping on pull out queen size sofa. The interior is a wonderful blend of antiques, handcrafted 'rustic' style furniture, and artwork by the owner. Living room and all bedrooms have ceiling fans.
Living and dining areas open to deck overlooking Church Pond, a sand bottom lake perfect for swimming, sailing, canoeing, fishing, and wildlife watching. (Loons frequent the pond.) Great for kids' adventures, as it is a non- motorized lake. From the dock, you can see all points of the lake.
The modern kitchen has all you will ever need, including a dishwasher. The downstairs has one bath- room and a bedroom with a queen size bed. Upstairs boasts a bedroom with a full size brass bed, sitting area and desk, a second bathroom, and a 'bunk' room for the kids with 4 twin sized beds. Bunk room is usually inhabited by dozens of stuffed bears, but they like to share the space!
Basement stores all summer and winter 'toys' and washer/dryer.
Lakeside enjoy an additional deck, dock and swimming float and fire pit. This home is fully winterized, and a perfect spot for winter recreation as well. Cross country ski or snowmobile right out the door, or downhill a short drive away. Miles of all season trails on state land connect to road. The free State boat launch on 11 mile long Upper Saranac Lake is one mile away. Church Pond is one of the few non-State land ponds among dozens of lakes and ponds in the area. State recreation land and lakes begin just a short walk from the house. Rock Ledge offers privacy, and unspoiled views, but is close to all manner of activities, both summer and winter.
