About 10 minutes south of the historic Santa Fe Plaza and a few blocks from two public golf courses. This home is in a newer neighborhood and perfectly situated to nearby shopping, theater, opera and highways leading to Taos, hiking and local ski resorts.

The home is a traditional flat-roof pueblo adobe style. Upon entering the home you are greeted with an at once elegant and eclectic, traditional and surprising decor. The owner, an interior designer and lover of all things Southwestern and indigeonous, has created an unparalleled experience for vacationers who seek to transcend mere lodging. Much love has gone into the décor of Casa Tatanka, named after the native Buffalo, whose art adorns the walls. The natural light filtering through the home is provided by seven skylights creating lovely ambience!

Living Room: Casa Tahoma features a large, versatile living room that is just as perfect for festive entertaining as it is for a romantic evening by the fire. Comfortable seating for six includes a pair of rich cognac ultra-suede nail-headed sofas and an additional leather wingback recliner, all embraced by a traditional viga(large posts and beam). Handwoven native rugs adorn the floors, while original art calls to you from all corners.

Dining Room: With a patio view, the dining room invites a range of experiences from casual to elegant. The solid oak dining table includes substantial leather seating, adjustable chandelier lighting and comfortably seats up to eight. Whether cooking or catering, service from the kitchen is easily handled through a large pass-thru window.

Kitchen: Roomy, comfortable and fully-stocked describes this kitchen with all the comforts of home, and then some! All utensils, dinnerware and cookware are included, as well as a coffee maker and espresso machine, ice machine, filtered water, full service gas range, microwave and dishwasher. Also features a large sunny breakfast nook that seats four.

Master Bed and Bath: In true Santa Fe style, the master bedroom features the irresistible combination of rough-hewn woods and soft, sumptuous bedding. A top-quality Olympic Queen mattress with dual control bedwarmer lulls you to sleep, warm robes hang in the large walk-in closet and the carefully-selected bedside tables and lamps provide the perfect light for just-before-sleep reading. The large master bath features full shower and tub, with plenty of ledge room for candles, and your favorite bath oils.

Additional Bedrooms: Two additional, roomy bedrooms share the second, full bath. Each features a queen-sized bed, dual-control bedwarmer, plenty of closet space and carefully chosen linens, art and lighting to ensure a comfortable experience.

Patio:Perfect for entertaining, reading, sunbathing or cuddling up in front of the chiminea.
Amenities: Wood-burning fireplace (logs included), phone, two flatscreen TVs, DVD/VCR player, stereo with CD, full kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, icemaker, gas range, coffee & espresso-maker, cooking utensils.
