Vacation Rental Description
Rancho Tortuga is located in the historic village of Placitas, NM. It is just 20 miles from Albuquerque and 40 from Santa Fe, and all they have to offer (museums, restaurants, shopping, outdoor activities). The casita/guesthouse at Rancho Tortuga is a separate, private building from the main house. It is furnished with a queen bed, a queen hide-a-bed, a comfortable couch, two wing-back chairs, two small dressers/nightstands, and a kitchen table and chairs. A mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot, toaster oven, dishes, silverware, linens and towels are provided. The bathroom has both a tub and a shower. There are several games, many books, and brochures on all areas of New Mexico. Right outside are two courtyards and a lilly pond. In the winter there is a cozy gas fireplace, and in the summer the patios are very relaxing with blooming flowers and trees. There are many sitting areas and a BBQ outside.

    Rancho Tortuga Casita Vacation Rental

    Rancho Tortuga is located in the historic village of Placitas, NM, nestled in the Sandia Mountains just 7 miles off of I-25 at exit #242. The private casita is set off of a lovely courtyard with a lilly pond, BBQ, and comfortable patio furniture. The inside is cozy with a gas fireplace in winter, and a view of many trees and flowers in the summer. The property is entirely fenced in and there is plenty of parking.

    There's hiking, biking, and birding just outside the door. A short drive down the hill puts you in Bernalillo, where there is a visitor's center, several great restaurants, art galleries and gas stations.

    Within two hours are many exciting day trips: Coronado Monument, Old Town Albuquerque, Santa Fe Plaza, Chaco Canyon, Bandlier National Park, Valle Caldera, Georgia O'keefe Museum (and many others), Ghost Ranch, Taos, tram ride to the top of the Sandias, skiing, fishing, casinos, and much more.
