This is our fifth year renting this property and we hope you have a great time. In 2005 we installed new carpet, furniture and most everything in the house is newer. This is a 1950 vintage home that was owned most recently by a family who lived here all year around. A few things about the house, property and island are below.
First the house, it has 4 full time bedrooms plus a play room with TV and the sofa pulls out into a queen bed making it a five bedroom house. The house has full bathrooms, one up front, one in the back on the first floor and one upstairs adjacent two bedrooms. The designated master bedroom is located first floor back right. The back left (the red room) has two single beds, a crib and rocking chair making the entire back of the house a good candidate for a young family. The upstairs is suitable for another family with two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two single beds. In the middle is a full bath. Don’t forget there is an outside shower in the back with a raised floor to keep the sand away from your feet.
Second, please use whatever you wish in the kitchen, there are usually some beverages in the refrigerator sit down and take a deep breath. If you would, feel free to leave some beverages for the next family when you leave. There should be plenty of paper products, some shampoo and other essentials, but not guaranteed. There is a large refrigerator, a microwave and toaster oven. The essential coffee pot is in the kitchen with a Dunkin Donuts down the street if you wish.
Third, there is a large laundry room and detergent for your clothes and towels. There is vacuum cleaner downstairs and extra pillows and blankets scout them out as you need in the closets and drawers. If you find something not in working order, please give me call. The combination for the shed is 8706 if it gets locked. I usually leave it unlocked, there is a grill, garden hose and the trash cans in there. Feel free to water the plants, the hose connection is in the outdoor shower.
Outside the house, there are three traffic lights and a circle with a lighthouse and the center part of the island, you passed all of them to get to the house. Dunkin Donuts is at the first light in, last light out before exiting the island. The police are pretty vigilant about speeding, talking on the cell phone when driving, wearing your seatbelt and a new law this year around riding your bike if you are under 13 years of age without a helmet. Beware and be careful.
