There is swimming, canoeing, or kayaking right out your back door. Smallish sand beach area where the kids can play and you can relax with a good book. Canoe available for use, or bring your own kayak. It is also near hiking, golf, biking, fishing & just about any other summer activity you could want. Not far from Mt Washington with all its scenic views and trails. Or just sit on the deck and relax. 
 
This is a very friendly group, there is often an evening campfire where you can sit around and chat with the other guests.
