Cozy Cabin in the Woods!
Guest: Momof3 (Newport, RI)
Date of Stay: 02/17/12 Review Submitted: 02/26/12
We stayed at this log home for a long weekend. It was clean, comfortable and the perfect home away from home. The kitchen has everything you need to cook any meals you choose, in fact we decided not to eat dinner out either night so we could relax at "home". The loft area is very spacious and the queen beds are comfortable. The lower level/basement has a place to watch tv by the gas fireplace. The main room has a large table that seat 6 for eating meals or playing games. The master bedroom/.bath was quite comfortable. Norma provides homemade chocolate treats that my girls devoured! We were able to walk the trails around the cabin and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. We skiied at Mt Cranmore which is about 20 mins away and all the shopping in Conway is right near there. I would recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay with an owner that wants to make sure you enjoy your stay!

Fantastic Cabin
Guest: Clifford (Hartsburg, Missouri)
Date of Stay: 06/24/12 Review Submitted: 07/11/12
We thoroughly enjoyed our stint out east in New Hampshire. Our party of three made the 1,500 mile trek all the way from Hartsburg, Missouri. The cabin was awesome and extremely cozy; we enjoyed being in a little neighborhood that still offered privacy. The house was super clean, amenities were plentiful, and Norma was such a welcoming homeowner. She really informed us about all the local hotspots and "must-sees". The layout was condusive for both small and large families- the kitchen was updated and well stocked with cooking utensils and supplies, the beds were very comfortable, and the decor was rustic and homey. Thank you Norma for making our stay so nice we didn't want to leave! If we ever venture out east again, your abode will be the place we choose to stay!

Log Cabin in the Mountains
Guest: Tessie (Randolph, Mass)
Date of Stay: 07/21/12 Review Submitted: 07/31/12
My family and I stayed at the cabin for a week. It was very, private, clean, and comfortable. The outdoor firepit, yard, oversized table for 8 plus guests, and hammock were great. We enjoyed the family room with the Wide Screen Television, and use of the Computer and a good selection of movies and games, having the washer and dryer was a real plus. We loved the design of the home with the many Bear motifs, and decorations, it gave us such a peaceful, and homey feeling, The Master bedroom with the sleep number bed, and the private bath with tub, and shower was the best, so spacious. Having a second bathroom was another added bonus because of the number of guests we had sharing the cabin. The loft area was much bigger than we expected, and the beds were comfortable. Having Televisions in both bedrooms, and the Family Room too was terrific. The Bose radio/CD player was a nice touch, with a decent selection of music by various artists that we all enjoyed. Silver Lake was so beautiful, and very relaxing, the cleanest one we have ever swam in, the mountains were breathtaking. Diana's Bath was another favorite of ours. It was unusually humid during our stay, so the swimming and water were warm enough to enjoy, which is very rare for the mountains. We tubed along the Saco River for a 3-5 hour long trip, unfortunately, the water level was pretty low, so we did not get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked, too much walking, and trudging along with our tubes, water coolers, and food back packs, but the exercise, and scenery were good for us. Climbing Mount Washington in the car was a bit scary at first, but worth the trip, Norma is a wonderful, gracious, kind, and very friendly owner. Her home made treats were delicious. 2 of the Teenagers did see a bear walking along the road on thier bikes that Norma provided, which was a big hit, and thrill with the kids. We thought we had seen all of the White Mountains, but we were in for a great surprise staying at her log cabin, and experiencing, and discovering some real hidden gems. The cabin is equipped with everything you could hope to have and use. There was one or two minor inconviences that we had to deal with, but overall, our stay was awesome. We would highly recommend her beautiful Cabin in the woods to all our friends, and family. Thank you Norma for renting us your beautiful home. We had a blast.

This was the first time I had ever rented a property, talk about starting with the best! All of the reviews were spot on! The cabin was amazing, clean, warm and very comfortable. Norma really does have everything you could need there, yet there was no clutter. The pictures and description were accurate yet it is more beautiful in person. Norma was amazing, she had so many tips on the area that came in handy (especially West Side Road to avoid the North Conway traffic!) We will be back to visit again soon! You can't go wrong with Norma's cabin!!

My husband and I returned to the Cabin for our 2nd time in May. I cannot say how impressed we continue to be, everything is perfect. Norma is the most considerate owner who really thinks and wants visitors to the Cabin to enjoy every minute. It is wonderful to go away for a week and be able to relax starting when you pull in the driveway, no beds to make, linens to unpack, or extra cleaning to be done. Everything is there and one for you. We only wish we saw a real bear. We plan on returning again next year and have decided to spend Thanksgiving weekend at the Cabin. Maybe we will see one then. Thank you Norma!

We just returned from our vacation in the White Mountains. Our stay at the cabin made our vacation perfect. It was so quiet and peaceful, but we were only 10 minutes from town with restaurants, shopping, gas, and so many activities. We spent our days driving through the forest, hiking the many trails, and enjoying some fantastic meals before returning to the cabin. The cabin felt like our home with all the extra personal touches Norma has added. Norma is the perfect hostess starting with her homemade goodies. Unfortunately we did not see any moose, but did see the local bear which allowed us to get some great photos. Hopefully if we visit the area again, Norma's cabin will be available. It's the perfect location! Thank you Norma

We loved Norma's cabin and could not have asked for anyplace nicer. The comfy furnishings, charming mt decor, well stocked kitchen, beautiful yard, patio and firepit were all we needed to rest and relax after days exploring the White Mt Natl Forest's trails, peaks, waterfalls, covered bridges and stunning views. We loved it and really appreciate Norma's attention to detail that make this a true vacation "home".

When we arrived we were greeted and immediately felt at home. The cabin was easy to get to and presented a warm, welcoming and comfortable place to stay. We were impressed by the complete kitchen, the well appointed bedrooms and baths. The accommodations were extremely clean. Situated in Madison, we were close to skiing, tubing and the shopping and dining of North Conway. We will definitely visit again and would not hesitate to recommend the property to friends.

We cannot say enough about our stay at the "Cabin." The house was immaculate; we have never rented a house that was so clean. Norma provided everything you could possibly want (just like home). The kids, and some "big kids" absolutely loved the homemade treats Norma provided. What a nice touch. We enjoyed looking at all the photos. They added such a homelike feel to the cabin. With temps in the high 50"s, and sunny blue skies, everyone enjoyed a day of tubing at Cranmore Mtn. No hats or gloves, no jackets, who could ask for more. The grandkids enjoyed see Mt. Washington and their trip to the other side of the mountains via the Kancamangus. This was a desperately needed weekend away that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Norma's cabin turned out to be the perfect choice for a rental, and will definitely be a future rental retreat. Thanks for everything Norma. Margaret & Frank and family :)
I think you're going to love it here!!~~~Most everyone who's come to rent, returns again and again....I have lots of great things inside to make you feel welcome, and very at home! You'll love it as soon as you enter the front door!
The road this cabin is on, is really quiet, and if you're looking for a place to be out on your own, this is it...and it's not that far from a store if you need to get something quick, either!
I always leave freshly baked snacks for my guests, and that will help welcome you into my home...and if you're really lucky, you might see wildlife out in the woods in the back of the cabin!
I've planted lots of flowers around the cabin, and I've even planted strawberries, if you can get at them before I do!!! LOL
During the winter, the rates do include all snow plowing, and the trails along the woods in the back of the cabin, are wonderful for exploring during the winter AND summer!
