Vacation Rental Description
Located adjacent to the beautiful Paradise Valley (just north of Yellowstone National Park) our cabin is on a hillside above Mill Creek in Mill Creek Canyon, with beautiful views of the valley, cliffs, mountains and access to Forest Service lands. Mill Creek is a major tributary to the Yellowstone River, just 6 miles from the cabin. Fishing and specifically, fly fishing is legendary on the creeks and rivers in this area. Cutthroat, Rainbow and Brown trout thrive in these waters. The cabin is about 25 miles north of Yellowstone National Park--a must see for any visitor to the area. Wildlife is plentiful in the area--bear, mountain lions, deer, elk, moose, wolves, coyotes.
The cabin is completely outfitted, all you need to bring is your food, clothing and sports gear. We have a corral for horses. There are two decks, one to enjoy the sunrise when you drink your morning coffee or tea, the other you can view the sunset during your evening cocktails and barbeque. We are 10 minutes from Chico Hot Springs with hot pools and a four star restaurant. A few minutes more and you'll visit The Old Saloon, a 100 year old Montana landmark where in a cowboy atmosphere you can have a great breakfasts or a drink when you get off the river from a day's fishing.
Our cabin is comfortably decorated and has original artwork and reading material by local authors. We can arrange for float/wade fishing guides and rod beats on world famous spring creeks, Armstrong, DePuy's and Nelson's. Guided day trips for wildlife viewing in Yellowstone Park can also be arranged. Ask about fees for these activities.
Beds are as follows: In the main living area there are two "Murphy Beds" (one twin and one double), which fold out of cabinets at night and fold back into the cabinets during the day. There is also a double futon which can be made into a bed at night and a couch during the day. In the bedroom there is a "Day Bed" which is a twin bed and has a twin "trundle" which can be pulled out at night and used either as a twin or pushed together with the other twin becomes a king sized bed.
