This secluded home on 5 wooded acres sits one mile from town, nestled among trees of onetime national forest. The 1100 sq ft. cedar house has ceramic tile floors throughout, leather furniture, all new kitchen appliances and LOTS of windows. It also has a wood stove which makes it very cozy on cold days.
The main house sleeps 2-4. The master bedroom is furnished in aspen log and has its own bathroom and office. The second room has its own bathroom and entrance with a porch.
Renting this property includes the 2 room, 1 bath, 232 sq. ft. guest house which sleeps 2-4. The guest house has tv w/satellite and a beautiful view of the water and rock formations from the picture window.
In the summer 1 or 2 people can sleep in the attached room located off the main house, this room has cedar walls and floors, 3 windows, electricty, a porch and is only steps away from the bathroom.
Out of 4 covered porches one is partially enclosed and furnished with comfy wicker furniture. From any porch you can enjoy the view, peacefulness and wildlife, or observe a game of horseshoes in the meadow.
Besides being close to Mount Rushmore, this cabin is 6 miles from 3 lakes, Custer State Park and the scenic Needles Highway, 7 miles from Crazy Horse Mountain, 14 miles from Hill City and approximately 45 miles from Deadwood/Lead and Rapid City. There are many tourist attractions for adults and children throughout the entire area.
