If you are looking for a wonderful getaway in northern Michigan for family and friends, then you've found it. Here you will find a beautiful log cabin vacation rental, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This private cabin is located on 400 feet of sandy shoreline on the Hardwood Watershed. The kids and adults alike will love it here. This is the perfect place for your Michigan u.p. vacation any time of the year. In the summer, you can enjoy swimming, take a paddle boat or pontoon ride, or just sit by the shore. The water has a breathtaking view, and the fishing is excellent. You will have a great time bringing in northern, walleye, bass and panfish. There are so many opportunities to explore nature. This waterfront cabin rental is also a great getaway for canoeing, kayaking, and bird lovers.
There are numerous golf courses in the area providing challenges to golfers of all skill levels. White water rafting is available nearby for those looking to challenge the rapids on the Menominee River. Piers Gorge is a must see attraction for anyone wanting to view the beautiful waterfalls, or take a nature hike.
Winter brings miles and miles of snowmobile trails. Trails are available right from the property, providing snowmobilers with access to the entire UP of Michigan and Northern Wisconsin. Skiers - Pack your Bags! There are 2 local ski hills- Norway Mountain and Pine Mountain, and many areas for snowshoeing, sledding and tubing. There is even an ice skating rink nearby!
ATV enthusiasts will also find a great trail system available for riding and scenic adventures.
We are located in the town of Hardwood, Dickinson County, northern Michigan and here you can find many activities to suit everyone in your group. The cabin is in a private location, yet just a short drive to shopping, restaurants and other activities. We are also only a 40 minute drive from the shores of Lake Michigan. What a great place to escape to. There is as much or as little as you want to do! Plus, we are located within a very reasonable drive from the larger cities- 2 1/2 hrs from Green Bay, 4 1/2 hrs from Madison, 6 1/2 hrs from Chicago, 5 hrs from Milwaukee.

VonSeda's log cabin is located on 400 feet of sand frontage on the Hardwood Impoundment, a part of the Sturgeon River, in Hardwood Michigan, u.p. Your family will have a great place for swimming, fishing, boating, or just relaxing by the shore. Kayaking is exceptional, as well as taking in the scenery. There are so many opportunities for your northern Michigan vacation!
This area has miles of snowmobile and ATV trails for your riding adventures. Skiers will can hit the slopes at Norway Mountain, or Pine Mountain, home to the annual ski jumping contest. Golfers will find about a dozen golf courses in the area. Anyone for a water rafting adventure? There are local rafting guides ready to help guide you on some of the most challenging whitewater in the Midwest.

Three night minimum stay required. $500 security deposit must be secured with a credit card. The weekly rental fee, sales tax and security deposit are due 60 days prior to arrival date for summer rentals, and 30 days prior the remainder of the year. Firewood is available for sale at an additional cost. $70 for a full cord, $35 for a half cord, etc. Pay for what you use. A $200 down payment along with required paperwork must be returned within 1 week to guarantee your reserved dates.
