Charming Lakefront Home

We enjoyed a wonderful stay... the lake is charming and the home very comfortable. In the morning we had local coffee and watched the beautiful sunrise and birds. The kitchen is well-equipped and has everything you need. The master bedroom is great- breezy, nice views, spacious. The house is clean and well maintained and the owners friendly and attentive. We highly recommend if you are staying in the Grand Rapids area.

I tried to think about giving you feed back about what could be improved and I really can’t think of anything. In fact, your home was even better than I expected. I hope that you will consider renting to us again next summer. I will keep your contact information in the hope that you will rent to us again. Thank you for a great time! We enjoyed the location (the big trees next to the water), the swim platform, the little row boat with the motor, fishing off the dock, the fire pit (and the complimentary wood – thank you), the fact that you had a handy refrigerator in the garage, the overall lay out of your home is great (very functional for sleeping arrangements) and the little lakeside store – I think we bought most of his ice cream and candy throughout the week – he loved us. Having friends across the lake with a new pontoon boat, power boat and a jet ski or two was great and your property was able to accommodate picking folks up in those vessels. You had everything anyone would want (tubes, fishing gear lawn chairs ect). It was great. Thank You Rob W. & Family

Lakefront Home

We rented this beautiful lake home over Labor Day of this year. It suited our needs wonderfully with ample space and a great view of the Lake. Joe was very accomodating and a phone call away if needed. We brought our bikes as there were a number of trails in the area. We rode the one in Portland, Michigan and it was beautiful with some sections along the Grand RIver. Lots of other outdoor activites in the area and wish we would have had more time to take those in. If you are staying in the Grand Rapids area, we would highly recommend staying here.

Great family vacation spot

This lakehome was very clean & well maintained. The kitchen, dining area, and bedrooms are large & very comfortable. The kids caught and released lots of fish right off the lake house pier. Swimming in the lake was great fun. Recommend the bluegill dinner if you dine locally at Germaines (suggest outside patio) in Saranac, MI.

This wonderful home was everything it was advertised to be and then some. We spent a week with our children, their spouses and our grandchildren, ages 2,3,4 and 5 years old. There was something for everybody including swimming, fishing, paddle boating and making s'mores over the fire pit. The house was very clean and the owner was extremely responsive. We would definitely recommend this home to our friends and relatives and we can't wait to go back ourselves.

We spent Thanksgiving week in this home and had a fabulous time. The home was perfect for our family....very cozy and roomy. Anything we needed was provided from linens to firewood to every spice you could possibly need. The view of the lake was beautiful and very peaceful. We would definitely return if the opportunity arises.
Welcome!
I grew up spending my weekends at my grandfather's cottage on a inland Michigan lake near Grand Rapids. Fishing, boating, swimming, horseshoes and barbecuing were the order of the day. I always had a great time! I treated my friends, made new ones and got to know my cousins. Water and sun were the basic ingredients. I bought a lakefront home to pass along the legacy of good times begun by my grandfather and to share it with others as well.
