We're five minutes to Six Flags New England and downtown Springfield, which offers restaurants in all flavors, from Indian and Middle Eastern to fusion and all-American, museums, theaters,cinemas and night clubs. We're right across from Forest Park with its zoo, hiking trails, and playgrounds, or go to the magnificent wild rivers of the Berkshires for kayaking, rafting and all your favorite winter sports, in nearby Vermont. Local museums include the Springfield Armory for its historic collection of firearms, the Springfield Museums including world-famous Indian motorcycle collection and Dr. Seuss sculpture garden. Nearby the Mark Twain, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Norman Rockwell, Edith Whartion and Emily Dickinson house museums. Rent a boat or be taken on a ride and tour on the Connecticut River. Springfield is the city of homes - walking tours take you to a half dozen neighborhoods including our own historic and safe one to stroll.
