The perfect Vineyard vacation spot. Quiet private beachfront offers privacy yet centrally located for exploring the rest of the island. Superb swimming, fishing, boating and clamming from private beach. Ten minute drive to stores, 15 minutes from the ferry. Several interesting walks from the house through the woods to Vineyard Sound or along the many dirt roads and working farms. Access to a second private beach. All the wonderful attractions of Martha's Vineyard. Down island location with an up island feel. Linens and towels provided. Ferry tickets possible.

In addition to the private beachfront, the house has lots of outdoor space including a screened in porch, hammock, deck, back patio as well as a French country eat-in kitchen. We provide linens and towels including beach towels. We also provide beach chairs.

Roosevelt Beachfront Cottage

This property has been in the family since 1950 and enjoyed every single year of that time. We love the walking, swimming, clamming, sailing as well as the seclusion (reading). The private beach front and other private beach access allows us to get away from it all. On the other hand, we are so centrally located on Martha's Vineyard that we can easily visit up island or down island.

Our guests love the up island feel with the down island location....as well as the easy living here. Something for everyone.
