Layout and beds:  
 
1st floor: Well equipped kitchen w/microwave and coffee maker and brand new gas stove, dining room with expandable dining table, wireless internet and phone with answering device, living room with two sleeper sofas, large TV, DVD, board games, books, two easy chairs. This room has a door - can be a sleeping room. Full bath with tub/shower,vanity and washer/drier. 
 
2nd floor: Old Cape wide plank floors.  
Master bedroom has a queen sized bed, loveseat, desk, antique high dresser and tv.  
Middle bedroom has a double and a twin and antique furnishings. 
Third bedroom is a real treat for the kids! Enter through a short doorway to two twin size beds and best of all another door to an outside stairway down. 
Every bedroom has a waterview! The cross ventilation w/continuous sea breezes have negated the need for AC but in an emergency hot spell there are fans for every bedroom.  
 
You will feel like royalty sitting in Adirondacks and lounge chairs on your private front yard surrounded by million+ dollar homes. Fall asleep to the lapping sounds of the harbor. The world is your oyster. In fact right in your front yard is the motherload. The town oyster beds. Home of Wellfleet's most famous asset....the Wellfleet Oyster! The queen of England is said to have imported them specially for her enjoyment and I must say I agree, they are the best ever!  
 
I almost forgot to mention some great off-season features: We have central hw heat and two antique style gas fireplaces for warm cosy ambiance! 
 
 
 
 
Things to do: Some of the best kayaking on Cape Cod- launch at the beach and explore the Duck Creek, marina and mooring basin and Chipman Cove with it's endangered diamand backed terrapin, or venture past the jetty into the open harbor and Great Island's secret spots. Private Audubon tours occasionally launch from the same spot. After a day at Wellfleet's magnificent ocean beaches, rinse off in Wellfleet's pristine kettle ponds, the water is as clear as a chlorine pool! clamming, and hunting for Wellfleet's world famous oysters, the village of Wellfleet - groceries, ice cream, Hatches fresh produce and freshest fish ever, blueberry pancakes for breakfast at the Lighthouse, art galleries, restaurants, movie rentals, deep water fishing in Wellfleet Harbor with the Naviator- great for kids or one of the more serious private charters. Kids love to fish off the pier, there's a bike trail in Wellfleet that goes all the way to Brewster & many trails in Provincetown, (bike and kayak,canoe,sailboat or fishing boat rentals all in Wellfleet) Wellfleet drive-in, Wellfleet movie theatre, go to a show at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre (Best of Boston 2004 -Boston Magazine), buy paintings of renowned artists in Wellfleet's famous galleries, go to Provincetown for more galleries, dining and sightseeing, seaside golfing overlooking the water at Chequessett Yacht & Country Club. Use the Weber gas grill on the patio or call Hatch's and order lobsters, they'll cook 'em for you. There's the Wellfleet flea market, National Seashore nature center, the Marconi site where Marconi invented wireless, visit the lighthouses in P-town, Truro,and Eastham. Audubon Society Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary - superb! Whale watches on Stellwagon Bank , beautiful sunsets, scenic drives, learn to surf, go birding, or better yet just stay home. From the White House as we call it, it's about 30 steps to the beach - kayak, swim, just lay on the beach, explore the National Seashore, hike to Jeremy point, collect sea shells, watch the oystermen let the kids chase the armies of fiddler crabs. Enjoy the peace and quiet or rent a movie. Write your first novel-we have a guest for the month of May who intends to do just that! Read the great comments in our guest book and add your own. In our many years we have yet to have a disgruntled guest!!

One of the nicest locations in Wellfleet, this home has charm, privacy and access to a beautiful private beach. Watch the boats come and go at the marina. Keep the kids busy with our professional quality volleyball/badminton set in the large private yard. Walk the coastline into Wellfleet's charming town center with it's galleries and fine restaurants. Wellfleet has it all! From golf to movies to cutting edge theatre to some of the best fishing in the country. Surfing, nature trails, bike paths and kayaking are just a few of the activities you can enjoy. My personal favorite is sitting in the adirondack chairs,hand-built by myself with a nice glass of wine watching the sun go down. Why pay more for a condo when you can stay in a home. I guarantee you will never want to leave!
