Vacation Rental Description
It is a magical place - I am not sure that there are proper words to describe the charm of our warm and inviting home on the Bay. The views from every room are simply breathtaking! You truly feel like you are on a ship overlooking a vast body of water; a view that is constantly changing either due to weather or by the large variety of boats. The house itself has yesteryear charm but with today's modern conveniences. It has the old rap around porch that now includes the kitchen - where your views are simply magnificent. Recently renovated, it has two stunning stone fireplaces, hardwood floors throughout. Enjoy an enclosed outdoor shower that has wonderful views of the bay. The front deck spans the entire length of the house. There is a queen size be in the master bedroom and a double bed in the lower level bedroom. There is a queen size sofa bed and a trundle bed that has two twin mattresses in the second family room on the upper level.
The house is central air-conditioned and has direct T.V. The kitchen is completely equipped with a dishwasher, icemaker, and a microwave. Maid service is provide upon your departure.
The front deck overlooks the bay with plenty of chairs and lounge chairs. The deck also bodes a large picnic table, a perfect place for crab feasts or painting of shells by the children.
Imagine sipping wine or your morning coffee and watching the blue herons, our local eagles and an assortment of other birds diving for their next feast into the bay and or watching the large variety of boats travel the bay for commerce or pleasure. Or waking up in the morning to the sun rising over the bay with spectacular colors of the sky that inspires anyone to paint. And or spending countless hours fishing or crabbing or walking the 3000' of beach for fossils from the Miocene era - this is the place where special memories are made.
Our guests have made so many wonderful comments to us about their vacation at our home, but the common theme that everyone talks about is that their vacation was good for their soul. It was a special place that they were able to totally relax, enjoy family/friends and nature at its best. It is will great pride that I invite you to stay at our special, magical home on the Bay.
Facilities
The Chesapeake Bay stretches its beauty 195 miles from the Pennsylvania's Susquehanna River to the Virginia Capes. It is the largest bay in the United States, with the greatest number of tributaries(150) and more miles of shoreline (4,000) than the entire West Coast. The Bay is also rich in Fossils from the Miocene era. Ten to twenty million years ago a shallow ocean covered Southern Maryland. The shells, bones and teeth of animals that inhabited the area either sank or were washed into the seas and were covered with mud or sand. (SEE FOSSILS PAGE)
Activities
The area is rich not only in colonial history, but also in fossils from the Miocene era. Enjoy miles of sandy shoreline, a 2-mile nature trail thru deep woods, an open recreational field, a playground and plenty of fabulous seafood restaurants. Fishing or crabbing could not be more than off of our 450" pier. Night fishing is spectacular as the pier lights draw in the fish.
There are several eagles that have nested along our beach. Watching them fly is simply magical!

We need to receive a 50% deposit within 7 days from the date of your reservation. The remaining amount is due 120 days prior to reservation date. You will be reimbursed for your deposit if you cancel 120 days prior to your scheduled arrival time. If you need to cancel for any reason after this time, we will try to rent our home for you. In the event we are unable to rent our home, your payment cannot obviously be reimbursed. Your rental payment is a statement of your acceptance of our rental policy.
