Discover Coveside, a Sea Captain-style home, located on beautiful Southport Island on the coast of Maine, just an hour's drive from Portland and within minutes of Boothbay Harbor. The home overlooking Decker's Cove, occupies over an acre of lawn and garden, and has a dock/float with two kayaks and a dinghy. The surrounding waterways are extremely attractive and interesting for kayakers. Stay in one of four fully equipped apartments,two with 2 bedrooms/2 baths, and two with, 1 bedroom/1 bath, each with its own private entrance. Ideal for family holidays/reunions, group gatherings, and wedding parties. A warm and friendly atmosphere is provided for both children and adults.  
Note : the listing showing 2 bedrooms and 2 baths represents just one of the four apartments...at full occupancy, there are 6 bedroom/6 baths, with sleeping space for 12 to 14 people. Cots, cribs, and portable beds can be provided as required.

Each of the 4 apts are provided with well equipped kitchens, and there are two BBQ gas grills and picnic tables in the garden area. Linens (sheets/pillow cases/towels) are provided at an extra charge of 25$. Each apt is provided with all house keeping consumables re paper products, cleaning supplies, toilet products,as well as an iron, ironing board, and vacuum cleaner. Only apt 1 has a washer and dryer. And, the large eating area in apt 1 has a dinning table that can be expanded to accommodate 10 people.

The Boothbay Harbor area, which is only minutes from Southport, is the sailing capital of the North East, and thus provides a vast variety of ocean going activities including, whale watching, ocean fishing, and inter island boat trips. The local land trust maintains over 14 separate areas where the general public can hike and picnic. There are an abundance of activities for children...aquarium, summer camp, sailing lessons, soccer camp, basketball camp, a projects camp ( great explorations ), etc.
