Vacation Rental Description
Cabin was built in 1986 of "manufactured" logs. Heavily forested six acres of hilly, "peninsula-like" land going into the lake surround the cabin. Cabin is at the end of a half mile private road on which there are a few wonderful neighbors who are well out of sight and sound. NO NEAR NEIGHBORS! New General Electric kitchen, dishwasher, disposal, gas oven, convection-microwave oven, Corian countertops, lighted lower cabinets. New bathroom with custom cabinet and Corian countertop. Shower, no tub. New half bath in rear loft. Custom made king bed in first floor bedroom. Custom made queen bed in rear loft. LL Bean futon in front loft. Television monitor for DVD and VHS in front loft. (No cable or satellite). Screened front porch with tables and chairs off kitchen overlooking woods and lake. Fireplace in great room. Electric baseboard heat with individual thermostats in all rooms. Maytag washer and dryer in first floor utility room. 85 foot lighted walkway to lake and dock. Two kayaks. Two outdoor decks with charcoal broiler. Separate swimming area. You hear mainly the birds, loons and wind in the trees. Huge boulders left over from the ice age the size of 18 wheel trucks beautify the landscape! A NATURES PARADISE. One nearby restaurant catering solely to local residents. 25 minutes to Belfast on the Penobscot Bay where there are many restaurants and a hospital. 25 minutes to Waterville farther inland.
About two and a half hours driving time north of Maine border. Will provide explicit driving directions.
