  • If you can do it in the outdoors, you can do it in the Moosehead Lake Region. The many rivers, lakes, and streams afford a myriad of activities, including fishing, canoeing, kayaking and white water rafting. The mountains are always a hiker’s paradise and the winter trails are a haven for cross country skiers. Some go dog sledding, downhill skiing on Big Squaw Mountain while others on snowmobiles take to the Interstate Trail System (ITS) or race on the frozen lake.
True outdoor adventure awaits you in the Moosehead and Katahdin regions. Mountain climbing (we have 9 mountains) hiking, climbing, fly-fishing, recreational boating, ice fishing, hunting and camping.
Cruise on a historic steamship. Behold the wonder of it all from above on a seaplane. Enjoy watching the sun set over the seemingly endless horizon of water at one of several local first class restaurants.

Dear Bill & Kathy, Thank-you for the wonderful opportunity to enjoy your cottage. This area of Maine retains much of the character of New England in earlier times. Location, accomodations, geography, and your personal inputs to all of the above simple quantify your A-frame as the quintessential must do destination. We look forward to next year. Sincerely, Chip & Scharene.

Chip & Scharene, Thanks very much for your generous comments. We hope to have you back next year too. I bet you really liked the warm wood hues the cabin has with the interior wood stains. We are glad we could share our little piece of heaven.

Hey Bill & Kathy! Thank you for renting your cabin to us. We had a phenomenal time at the lake. The area is so quiet and relaxing, and most importantly, beautiful. I've never see so many stars at night! Next time, we'll have to stay longer!

    Thanks again,

Location is perfect for rest and relaxation. The view of lake and sunset was a pleasant surprise. The cabin was cozy and the working fireplace made the chilly Aug nights most enjoyable. Kayaking and canoeing was fun. The lake had hardly no activity. Very peaceful and beautiful. Greenville shops and pubs were a nice change and very close. Location was perfect! Quite a special place to enjoy with our family from Amsterdam. We all loved it. Thank you Bill and Kathy for sharing your piece of paradise.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at the cabin on Moosehead Lake. The views in the area are spectacular. There are so many sites to see & activities to do a short distance from the cabin. The neighbors are friendly & welcoming. The cabin had all the comforts of home & slept 8 people comfortably. Thank You for a memorable vacation. We will definitely be coming back soon.

    Sincerely,
    The Therriens

The Moosehead chalet is a nice rustic old time cozy camp with convenient access to Moosehead Lake for swimming, kayaking and canoeing. The cabin is fully equipped with a kitchen & fridge, satellite TV, hot shower, and plenty of free fire wood for the fire place. The camp is very quiet at night with no motor vehicle noise, but still is close to town for shopping and supplies…
