This lake front house is a fisherman's paradise. Snowmobile on the lake in front of the house or follow miles of scenic trails. The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, and built on three acres of land. Comfortably suited for more than one family.
It is located on the shores of Brassua Lake. There are 300 feet of water frontage containing a private beach and a dock for boaters. This secluded home borders 43 acres of wilderness.

Once you arrive in Rockwood, do not go into Rockwood Village. Proceed on Route 6/15. You will see the Moose River
on the right (or left if you’re coming from Jackman). You will pass a general stores (Moose River Store) on the right and then come to a two-lane bridge on the right. Cross the bridge and take a right at the T intersection.
Then take the paved road which turns to dirt, following the signs to the resort. It is approximately ¾ miles on the first road and another mile on the next. It takes five minutes to get to the lodge once you cross the bridge.
Go to the Office-Check in door and sign in for Sunset Hideaway. If you arrive late and there is no one at the check in area, we will leave written directions for you in there or on the front door. If you have a problem finding us, please call (516)503-4120 or (516) 804-3030.

The sunset Hideaway is a fisherman's dream offering some of the best fishing in the area. Fish off our private dock and catch fish. At house there is a canoe, kayaks and a motor boat for rent from the resort. In addition, the resort rents a variety of equipment for rent to help you enjoy your vacation such as cross-country ski's, ice-fishing shacks, snow mobiles, boats, bicycles and more. Furthermore, they offer adventure packages where you can fly in a seaplane, boat, white water rafting, ski, hike, fish and much more with guides and equipment at reasonable rates. Bird watch, hike, hunt and explore nature just by walking out the front door.

- Travel Info: * From Boston, MA & Points South and West: Take I-95 North to Newport, ME exit 157 (formerly Exit 39). Turn left at the end of the exit ramp and take Route 7 North from Newport to Dexter (14 miles). Take Route 23 North & West from Dexter to Guilford (11 miles) and you will see signs to the Moosehead Lake Region. At the “5 corners” in Guilford, take a hard right. The Davis Furniture Store is on the right and the Mobile Station is on the left of the road you are to go on. Take Route 6/15 from Guilford to Greenville (26 miles). Make a left at the flashing light in Greenville and it is another 22 miles to Rockwood on Route 6/15. * From Houlton, ME & Points North and East: Take I-95 South to Howland, exit 217 (formerly exit 54). Take Route 6/155 from Howland to LaGrange (12 miles). Take Route 6/16 from LaGrange to Dover-Foxcroft (20 miles). Take Route 6/15 from Dover-Foxcroft to Rockwood (58 miles). See directions below for how to get to the Birches once you’re in Rockwood. * From Calais & Bangor, ME & Points East: Take Route 9 West from Calais to Bangor (90 miles). Follow Route 15 from Bangor to Rockwood (90 miles; Route 15 becomes Route 6/15 in Dover-Foxcroft).
