This farmhouse on a rural road provides a quiet retreat from the hurly burly of city life. 20 acres of blueberry land and a 50 acre woodlot make the property spacious,
with ample room to play, rest, read, take walks, go kyacking, enjoy birds, flowers, gardens, and fresh eggs from the hen house. A backyard pond provides swimming and fishing. Down at the shore, there is a small beach, perfect for children to explore. The owner keeps a baseball field mowed. Tenants can also play croquet. An open front porch and a large back sunroom provide places to watch the sun rise and set. The back deck with its grill and picnic table encourages informal meals.

Addison is a small town with a library. Jonesport is a larger nearby town with a restaurant or two, some antique stores, a shipyard, several lobster pounds.
The area is a lobstering and blueberry community, with seasonal clamming and worming. Within an hour's or so drive, there is Acadia National Park on Mt. Desert Island, Schoodic Natl. Park, the Bold Coast. Whale watching and puffin watching provide popular excursions by hired boat.
