Woodland Pointe is a wonderful vacation home for two small families traveling together, as well as couples or extended families. The house has 3 bedrooms with 1 king and 2 queens. Additional sleeping space is provided by a queen sleeper sofa and 2 twin window-seat beds.

It also features two full baths, ocean view great room with living and dining areas, kitchen, and huge deck. The house also comes with cookware, place settings, utensils, microwave, linens, washer, dryer, dishwasher, cable TV, DVD and wireless Internet.

Built in 2005, guests will enjoy every amenity of a fine home while still relaxing in the peaceful surroundings of Holmes Bay. The house is situated on 7 wooded acres and enjoys 650 feet of shorefront. The house has a large great room with two separate seating areas. You can enjoy beautiful views of Holmes Bay, sunrises, sunsets, wildlife and the rest of the wonderful surroundings from inside or from the large deck out back.

The kitchen has all new appliances and every gadget you might be looking for, including a lobster pot for your Maine lobster dinners. There is a dining table that can expand to seat 10. There is also a countertop bar with two bar stools for quick snacks.

There are three large bedrooms (2 queens and 1 king). The two upstairs bedrooms have twin beds in the window seats if you need a little extra space. Additionally there is a queen sleeper sofa in the great room. There are two full bathrooms, including a whirlpool tub in the upstairs bathroom.

How do you get to the shoreline from the house? By taking our stairway complete with landings midway up and at the top to enjoy the view across Holmes Bay. The home is elevated relative to the bay, so a small deck leading to stairs going down to the beach allow for a peaceful view and easy access to the bay below.

Don't forget about everything Downeast Maine has to offer! From Woodland Pointe, your a short drive from many attractions, like the famous East Quoddy lighthouse (shown), Campobello Island, and the towns of Cutler and Machias. There is plenty to do for everyone. Enjoy shopping and antiquing, hiking and fishing...even guided boat tours for whales, puffins, lobsters and seals! The nearby town of Machias has some of the best Downeast Maine restaurants and shops. The entrance to the town takes you over the vigorous falls for which the town is historically famous for. Spend a fun-filled day window-shopping and going to the park, or stop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner at any one of their fine restaurants. Be sure to get some lobster and finish off your meal with a slice of fresh blueberry pie! Less than a 2 hour drive away is famous Bar Harbor, complete with shopping and world-renowned restaurants.

This house offers direct access to the beach from the stairs located in the backyard of the property. From the family entertainment area, you can see past the living room out into the back deck and the bay. Just about anywhere on the first floor offers you an amazing view of Holmes Bay, as well as the unspoiled Maine forest between the house and the sea. The family entertainment room has comfortable seating for watching cable TV, or a DVD movie. With the expansive windows, there is also plenty of light for reading. Both upstairs bedrooms have spacious full-size daybeds in the front dormers. They are perfect for reading during the day. In the night, they are also perfect for a third person or child to sleep in each room.

The house is available all year long for Saturday to Saturday rentals or for multiple weeks at a time. Rental Fees: November through April - $800 per week. May and October - $1,100 per week. June and September - $1,500 per week. July and August - $1,800 per week. A 50% deposit is required to reserve the week, with the remaining payment due one week before arrival. We accept check, money order, and Paypal. We also require a fully refundable security deposit of $150 (or $300 if pets are pre-approved). Dogs are welcome but cats are not permitted (please inquire for information on refundable pet deposit). Smoking is not permitted in the house. The house is 2 hours from Bangor International Airport and 5 hours from the Portland Jetport. The house is 7 hours from Boston and 11 hours from New York City.
