In addition to the three bedrooms and 2.5 baths in the main part of the house, there's a new bunkroom that sleeps four, with another full bath. 
 
The property has two acres on a private road, with 450 of waterfront, and although it is not remote, it has lots of privacy and tranquility. You can walk out the back door, along the beach and into Witherle Woods, where there are many beautiful trails to explore. Or you can hop on a bike, or into a kayak and paddle into town. Castine is one of the most beautiful towns in Maine, and an historical gem as well. It is also one of the best boating harbors in Maine. 
 
With a public golf course, and tennis courts, what more could you want? But if you just feel like relaxing, this house/cottage is a perfect place to sit with a book on the large porch looking out at the water, or down on the beach, only steps away. 

The large, open kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans and utensils enough for a gourmet cook. A cleaning service can be provided, but is not included in the rental.
