Relax in our lovely light-filled comfortable home on the Benjamin River, with a pond out the sunporch. Kayak out the back door at high tide. Hike and bike nearby in Acadia National Park. Enjoy our fully-equipped kitchen.

Many good restaurants nearby. Close to Brooklin Wooden Boat School, Haystack Arts and Crafts school.

We are renting the house furnished or unfurnished for the winter season, or year-round starting fall, 2010.

Competely furnished - if desired - with all amenities provided. Satellite TV (2 of them). Hi-speed internet, DVD, BarBQue, Washing Machine, Dryer, Dishwasher, Microwave, Exercise Bike and Lobster Pots.

The house looks like an Italian-Style Villa. It has 3 bedrooms very separate from each other, each with its own bathroom. One of the bedrooms has an adjacent sunporch with a bed, which is ideal for a child.
The bedroom configuration is as follows:
One bedroom -- King Bed with master bathroom, tub and shower;
One bedroom --Queen Bed with shower in bathroom;
One bedroom -- Can be a King or converted into twin beds; bathroom has a shower. This is the Bedroom that has another small sunporch adjacent to it.

The house borders on Brooklin, in Sedgwick, 10 minutes from Blue Hill. The bridge to beautiful Deer Isle and Stonington is a 15 minute drive.

There is a weekly cleaning service; linens are provided. Garbage is collected weekly. There is a two-car garage, and the driveway holds several other cars. All appliances are in excellent working order. We have games for children, a new exercise bike and ample storage.

Many fine restaurants are within a 10-15 minute drive. Our area is known for world-class sailing, and it is full of excellent seashore places to eat. We have many local farmers so the produce is delicious.

In addition to Acadia National Park, we have Blue Hill and Caterpillar Hill, which, among others, provides wonderful walking and hiking. There is swimming at the local town beach and nearby lakes. We have a river right out our backyard which is great for kayaking at high tide, and where children like to wade.

Adjacent towns of Brooklin has the famous Wooden Boat School, and Blue Hill (also adjacent) offers the classical music series at Kneisel Hall. In Deer Isle, visit Stonington, the active (and legendary) fishing village, or Haystack, the famed Arts and Crafts School, offering workshops, displays, theater presentations and more.

Many antique shops surround the area.

Dogs are welcome.
