Weekly rates are 7days/6 nights, 2-night minimum. Holidays are 3-night minimum at weekend rates. Prices are for 8 occupants. Children under age 10 stay free. Please add $60 cleaning fee and 7% state tax to rates. Reservations are made by telephone and confirmed by mail. Deposit due within 10 days of reservation request & are equal to 50% of room rate for the stay. Deposits are applied to actual stays. Visa/Mastercard accepted. No Wire Transfers or Moneygrams. No security deposit required. Damages/missing items found after your stay are charged to your valid credit card. Cash deposits are acceptable. A 5% surcharge is added for reservations made by credit card. NO REFUNDS unless a 90-day written notice of cancellation is given prior to check-in by the person who booked the reservation. Refunds of deposit or credit toward an off-season stay with 90-day notice may be given depending on the circumstances of cancellation.

A sweetly, unassuming place greeted us with its nooks & crannies and amenities everywhere we turned. Delightfully homey...little cozy touches all about. Just back from driving down Point Road to the shore, I sit in a rocker on the front deck...pleasantly warm and secluded. My teens and their friends are scattered all about -- the girls playing Mancala at the coffee table on the screen porch; the boys are playing PlayStation upstairs while the others are finishing their game of gin rummy at the game table downstairs. My husband is waiting for everyone so they can build the ultimate fire in the pit for tonight. My day-to-day life may be hectic, but, for now...this place and the aura of it is a perfect reminder of what is the most important part of life -- making memories made of special moments. Thank you Vince & Kari for providing the perfect place for our family memories!

What a wonderful 4th of July celebration with friends & family. Your cottagey cabin was fantastic and greeted us with open arms. We kindly left treasures of our own to share with future guests. We have all enjoyed a lovely 4-day stay in your beautiful cabin. It is just perfect and we all had a great time. Spent a day on a pontoon from Conley Bottom Marina and regularly used the pool on the resort. We have come all the way from Scotland (UK) to your cotttage (amongst others we've been in over our 2 weeks together) and would definitely recommend it to any other Scots who may take a trip over! Hi...we are Vince and Kari Wardell. We consider ourselves your average, "middle-class America" family with 2 kids, 2 dogs, 3 cats and a turtle. We've been married for 23 years (wow!) and are going strong! Vince is a general manager of a sales team for a local television station and has been in his career for about 25 years. Kari is a sales representative for a large manufacturer of name-brand goods and calls on major retailers. Kari's previous experience in space planning and design came in handy during the renovation of Serenity Ridge. We simply love our cottage on Lake Cumberland and try to take advantage of our retreat whenever we can. The boys really enjoy 4-wheeling on the trails and getting in as much fishing as they can on the Lake when we are there.
We have been visiting Lake Cumberland for years and simply love it so we had been hopeful to eventually own a property there. One day, while browsing the internet, we came across this property for sale (now Serenity Ridge). Sure it needed a lot of love and attention, but we were very interested. Now, please understand that we are not independently wealthy. We were looking for a decent-sized place within our meager budget, hopefully near the Lake and preferrably part of a small community with shared recreational activities. After our first visit, we knew right away that we had found the right place, so we made an offer on the spot! It was a lot of work, but Kari enjoyed every bit of the 10 months she spent designing just the right spaces within, finding ways to refurbish the outside in a cottagey style, managing the structural renovations and choosing the perfect pieces at fleatiques in order to furnish it in the coziest, charming way she could.
No two ways about it...our favorite place to hang out is on the Screen Porch! (Guest Reviews reveal it's their favorite too!) The wooded lot provides the perfect, tranquil setting for relaxing and letting go of all our stress that comes with daily life. And during the warm months...you can find us on the Lake! We love to pack up a picnic and rent a pontoon from Conley Bottom Marina (just around the corner) to take the gang out for a day of exploring new coves and floating on our rafts in the cleanest, clearest water you can imagine!
We poured our hearts and souls into this renovation and the result is simply, indescribably amazing! Our guests tell us that Serenity Ridge is not only the most serene and relaxing place they've rented, but that they believe it should be photographed in Cottage Living magazine. We know that you'll think so too!
