There are plenty of grander, newer homes at Beachwalk, but if you’re looking for a cozy, comfy, quirky little place that you can quickly call home, then Terrapin is the place for you! 
 
At Stop 7 on Lake Shore Drive, turn right onto Beachwalk Lane, and about a half block down on the left is the green-toned Terrapin Station. Note all your neighbors’ inviting front porches. Beachwalk was designed with families in mind and presenting an inviting, nostalgic, hometown streetscape on Beachwalk Lane. 
 
Walk up the front porch, but don’t rest in the old-time swing yet. Step inside the open living space: fireplace, queen-size sleeper sofa, chairs, TV/DVD/Stereo system, half-bath, fully-equipped kitchen and dining area. 
 
Upstairs are three bedrooms: the master (queen size) with a huge walk-in closet and separate master bathroom; a full bath shared by the green bedroom (queen size); and blue bedroom (double size). You can access the sun porch from either the green or blue bedrooms, and there is a washer/dryer on the second floor. 
 
And the porches and decks at Terrapin are what make it really special! Only a half-block from the beach, relax on the front porch with its swing and chairs to watch the daily parade of people to and from the beach; the sun deck with its chaise lounges, table, chairs and umbrella; the back deck with chairs and Weber grill off the kitchen; and the adjoining screened-in porch with dining table and summer seating area. 
 
There are four parking spaces: two in front and two in back. 
 
Activities abound at Beachwalk. In addition to Lake Michigan, there is the pool, Lake Kai and its small lake activities, a tennis court, a basketball court, a putting green, and several kid-friendly greens and parks throughout the development. 
 
And in the immediate area are: Mt. Baldy dunes, the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, Washington Park and its boat marina and zoological garden, several museums of local historic significance, the Blue Chip Casino, Lighthouse Place Premium Outlet Mall, AMC movie complex, the Vickers and Featherbone theatres in Three Oaks, New Buffalo, Harbor Country and its many wineries, strawberry/blueberry picking…it’s all within 30 minutes of Terrapin Station! 
 
Just bring your own sun screen; beach towels, chairs and toys; cooler; charcoal briquettes and sense of adventure.
