Travel Options
- Nearest Town : Carbondale at 20 miles distance
- Travel Info: If you get directions off of the internet it takes you on several back roads (why, I do not know). Those directions are correct but if you are visiting us for the first time or arriving after dark, I would suggest you follow the directions below. They really do not take any longer because you are on main roads and not traveling gravel or narrow back roads. Once you arrive and daylight is with you I recommend taking one of our maps and venturing out on some of the back roads, the scenery can be quite beautiful.
From I-64: Take Route 127 South to Route 13 (to Carbondale), turn right on Route 51 South (heading toward Anna, approximately 14 miles). You will see a blue information sign that will have Owl Creek Winery and Shawnee Hill Antique Barn listed, turn left onto Water Valley Rd. You will continue on Water Valley Rd. approximately 3 ½ miles. During that time you will come to two different places where you can veer to the left (don’t), stay to your right and continue on Water Valley Rd. You will pass Owl Creek Winery and then cross a one lane bridge. Water Valley Inn will be the 2nd house on the left (sits on top a hill). The driveway is past the sign right as you start to round the corner. Back door will be unlocked and key will be hanging beside back door over the light switch.
From the I-57 exit at route 146 west of Anna: Take Route 146 toward Anna for 5 miles and turn right on Route 51(North). Take Route 51 to Water Valley Rd. (you will see a blue information sign listing Owl Creek Winery and Shawnee Hill Antique Barn), turn right, continue on Water Valley Rd. approximately 3 ½ miles. During that time you will come to two different places where you can veer to the left (don’t), stay to your right and continue on Water Valley Rd. You will pass Owl Creek Winery and then cross a one lane bridge. Water Valley Inn will be the 2nd house on the left (sits on top a hill).
