Vacation Rental Description
Vacation in a 4-year-old, 2000+ sq-ft, 3 bedroom, 3 full bath home on Garfield Bay on Lake Pend Oreille in Northern Idaho. From the deck, you will have beautiful views of the bay and the surrounding mountains. The property is located immediately adjacent to the marina, making it great for boating, fishing and water sports. The quiet community on Garfield Bay offers two restaurants and a convenience store, and many amenities are available in the nearby Sandpoint and Ponderay. Silverwood Theme Park is located just a little over a half-hour away. A boat launch and a family-friendly beach are located just down the road.
The gourmet kitchen provides oven and cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, refridgerator, garbage disposal and separate eating area. A full service of cooking utensils, cookware and meal service are provided, as well as coffee maker, toaster, waffle iron and more.
The property sleeps 8 people comfortably in four beds. The Master bedroom offers a king-size bed and private bath. The downstairs bedroom provides a queen bed, and the upstairs bedroom a pair of full-size beds. For large families, a queen sleeper-sofa provides additional sleep accommodations, for up to 10 people total.
All the conveniences are provided, including air-conditioning, two entertainment centers with Direct TV, wireless internet service, and washer/dryer.
Lake Pend Oreille itself is a phenomenal natural resource. It is a 148 sq-mi (385 sq km) lake, up to 1100 feet (335m) deep in places. Because of its vast size, and because the great majority of the land adjacent to the lake is unoccupied government land, the lake is never crowded, and it's easy to find a secluded beach or cove.
The lake is well-known for its fishing, with many species, including rainbow trout, lake trout, perch, bass, and Kokanee, a fresh-water Sockeye salmon.
Facilities
