River Dance Lodge, an Idaho guest ranch, is the ultimate location for adventures on the trails, rivers and mountains of Idaho. Our location on the banks of the Clearwater River is stunning and while relaxing in your own private hot tub you’ll gaze upon forested mountains and the free-flowing Middle Fork of the Clearwater. 
 
Our specialty at River Dance Lodge is all-inclusive ranch vacation packages with activities that highlight the best of each season. We’re a lot like a guest ranch without horses on the property. However, we still offer horseback riding near the ranch resort and horseback riding in the Bitterroot Mountains is fabulous! There are trails from the Idaho guest ranch to hot springs and it’s possible to ride up the Selway River and go fly fishing. 
 
You may want to simply stay in our cabins and plan your own agenda. We recommend our Serenity Package that includes accommodation and meals at our adventure guest ranch. Or you may simply want a cabin rental, we can accommodate that as well. Accommodations: 
 
We designed our Idaho lodge and log cabin rentals to be the ultimate adventure resort and Idaho guest ranch. We have a total of eight handcrafted cabins for rent. Four of these are two-bedroom cabins and four are three-bedrooms. Each has its own hot tub and expansive front deck from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of the river and surrounding mountains. 
 
2-Bedroom Cabin: 
 
These cabins are perfect for four people, but will sleep six if you use the futon in the living room area. There is a queen bedroom downstairs and an upstairs loft. The loft has two twin beds that can be put together to form a king bed. There is a full bathroom on the main floor, a small gas fireplace in the living area, and a private deck with hot tub. 
 
3-Bedroom Cabin Floor Plan: 
 
These cabins are ideal for six to eight people, but will sleep ten if you use the futon in the living area. Each duplex unit has two queen bedrooms downstairs that share a full bath and an upstairs loft bedroom with a queen and two single beds along with a bathroom with 3/4 bathroom (shower and toilet). There is a small gas fireplace in the living area and a large deck with a hot tub. Renting both sides of one of our duplex cabins creates a wonderful retreat for your group or family reunion with your own building including an expansive porch and two hot tubs.

Each cabin has a small fridge, microwave, toaster & coffee pot. As well, there is a grill outside (note: there is not a stove or oven in the cabins). Our all-inclusive packages include all meals, so although the kitchen is rarely used with all-inclusive guests, other guests who are simply renting a cabin will find it easy to prepare and serve meals with the equipment & dishes we provide. Inside & outside you'll find the highest quality construction & amenities. Our bathrooms have slate floors, tiled bath enclosures & quality fixtures. The floors downstairs are built of douglas fir from Oregon, providing a warm, cozy feeling. There is a small gas fireplace in the comfortable living/dining/sitting area. We have chosen not to install AC & on hot summer days it's important to keep the front door & windows closed to keep the cabins at a comfortable temperature. Finally, each cabin is handsomely decorated & fully equipped with everything you need for an outstanding & relaxing vacation.

Lewis and Clark Trail: 
 
Lewis and Clark traveled within a few miles of the River Dance Lodge in the fall of 1805 and early summer of 1806 on the Nez Perce Trail, also known as the Lolo Trail. If you're a Lewis and Clark history buff, this is the ideal Lewis and Clark Trail resort base from which to explore. You can drive to the Lolo Motorway and hike to several of the sites recorded in the journals of Lewis and Clark.  
 
The town of Grangeville: 
 
The county seat of Idaho County, largest county in the lower 48 states, Grangeville is small-town America at its best. 45 minutes from the River Dance Lodge, and a beautiful drive up the South Fork of the Clearwater, you'll find shopping, museums and more. In 1994 the remains of a Columbian Mammoth, a species that went extinct some 10-15,000 years ago, was discovered at nearby Tolo Lake. There is an excellent exhibit and replica of one of these impressive creatures located on Highway 95 just next to Grangeville.
