Away from the hustle and bustle of the city but only approximately a 60-75 minute drive to the Honolulu airport and Waikiki. The Polynesian Cultural Center and BYU (Hawaii Campus) are 4 miles north; Sunset Beach (where winter surf meets are held) is 15 miles north. Nearby is the Kualoa Ranch, Kahana Bay, Waimea Bay and Pipeline to name a few of the many attractions and activities.

During the winter months just north is where the big waves roll in and there are a number of surf meets which brings people from all over the world.
