Vacation Rental Description
Our newly remodeled, fully furnished oceanfront unit features a living room with a sofa, telephone with answering machine, cable TV, DVD player, CD player, plug-in and secure wireless DSL computer station, ceiling fans; a fully equipped full-size kitchen; dining area; a full-size bathroom with tub/shower and vanity; a bedroom with a king bed and ceiling fan. Our condo also features a full length retractable shade screen on the lanai. The shade screen allows you to control the amount of morning sun entering the unit without obstructing the ocean views. Our second floor location in the "A" building at Molokai Shores Resort provides the best access to the ocean breezes that help the unit stay cool.
The private lanai at our condo provides a wonderful ocean view extending seven miles south across the heart of the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale sanctuary to the island of Lanai. Our view also extends east from Molokai across the ancient Kaloko'eli fishpond and the Pailolo Channel towards the island of Maui. The beach is only a hundred feet from our lanai and is easily accessible. Our unit is located on the southern coast of the island. Molokai is often called "The Real Hawaii" because it still possesses its original rural character and traditions.
Molokai Shores is the only major condo facility in the Kanuakakai area of Molokai. The facility has four acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with an expansive grassed area leading to the beach and ocean. Amenities include shuffle board, swimming pool for adults and one for toddlers, a putting green, gas grills and charcoal grills and free parking just to name a few. The resort is centrally located to all tourist activities and events. Unlike other rental complexes on the island, it's the only one that's 5 minutes from the major grocery stores on the island, the Saturday market where you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, and locally hand-made crafts. There's a wharf where you can buy the fresh catch of the day.
Molokai is where the hula was born. The Molokaians are friendly and are family-oriented with deep connections to their Hawaiian ancestors and their living Kapuna (elders). Respect is a way of life on Molokai. Unlike the other Hawaiian Islands who have given in to the high tourist industry, Molokai has retained its true Hawaiian culture and traditions. To come to Molokai is to experience the true Hawaii.
