Extra large one bedroom suite with a queen bed and twin bed, queen sofa sleeper in living room. Bathroom has dressing area with a double sink vanity. Large roomy kitchen for families who enjoy cooking.

Quiet corner of the property - away from parking lot, pool - just the sound of the waves at night. Watch whales right from the lanai during whale season. In-suite washer and dryer, fully-equipped kitchen, air conditioning.

Papakea has the ideal location - right at the north end of Kaanapali beach, private and quiet, but with miles of beach just steps away. Great for those who love swimming, snorkeling, jogging, strolling, or building sand castles! The lush tropical 13 acre grounds and low-rise buildings offer a relaxed island-style ambiance, roomy, yet never crowded. Walking distance to groceries, sundries, coffee shops, and spa. Short drive to shopping, galleries, and world-class dining.

Update for 2008:
Our beach home just got a makeover in March including a kitchen remodel with maple cabinets, granite counter tops, and new appliances. We have a glass-top stove set in the kitchen island so that the ocean view can inspire some island-style cooking. The old fluorescent lighting was replaced with natural light and dimmer switches and the new fans have wall-switch speed control so you can create the perfect environment. We love the new furniture for the living/dining area. Also, new bedding, artwork, fresh paint, tv/dvd/cd center was added.

The only downside is that our condo has become popular for repeat annual visits so it books up early. We think it's perfect for a romantic & relaxing vacation.

    • The condo includes a new, fully provisioned kitchen that's perfect for couples who enjoy cooking. The resort also includes gas BBQ grills with poolside tables and a covered, beachfront cabana for outdoor dining. The outdoor amenities are spacious, we've never had to wait to grill our fresh fish and there's plenty of tables for sunset dining.

    • Papakea Resort offers two swimming pools, two jacuzzis, tennis courts, shuffleboard, and putting courses. There are weekly outdoor exercise classes and intro-surfing classes available. There are lots of great activities within walking distance of the Papakea Resort: a farmer's market, groceries, take-out deli, gourmet coffee, beach-side dining, salon, spa, and gym facilities next door at Kaanapali Shores, and a public beachpark with playground next to Paki Maui. Lahaina, Kapalua, and all of Kaanapali Resort's shopping, dining, and golf courses are a short drive from Papakea.
