The view from Pikake B-5 is sky and ocean, bordered by the islands of Lanai on the left and Molokai on the right the sun setting between them. Visiting Humpback Whales are regularly seen from our lanai, December through April. Turtles, Monk Seals, Porpoises, Birds, Crabs and Geckos are occasional visitors and brilliant tropical fish and mollusks inhabit the Pikake's reef. Guests say this is the best location they have ever experienced. Looking out at this view gives a person the feeling of standing on the edge of the world where the world ends and Heaven begins. You feel like the King of the world, yet a humble King being in the presence of God.
The apartment is well equipped, having all the amenities that you expect at home. There is a master bedroom and bath downstairs and a loft bedroom with larger bathroom upstairs, both having king size beds. A Phone, Cable TV, CD, DVD, Binoculars, a full kitchen and a gas grill on the lawn are all available for your use. There are Health Clubs, running, biking, golf and all kinds of physical activities. There is a Boss Frog's (usually best prices) to rent Snorkel Gear and book Snorkel Trips just down the street.
We not only have the best view, but the best weather. The Trade Winds keep B-5 cool and comfortable. .
A pleasant 20 minute walk will get you to Roy's Kahana Bar & Grill (Roy Yamaguchi of Hawaii Cooks). There are other world-class restaurants and great inexpensive eateries in the area, close enough so that you can do without a car. The best place to dine though is at B-5 enjoying the view. Cook it yourself or take out from Honokawai Okozuya & Deli (best of Maui) for world cuisine on a budget, a few short blocks away. If you are staying more than a week you may want to shop at Costco (mostly mainland prices) right after arriving. Costco is on the left when you leave the Kahalui Airport. A shopping center featuring a Star Market lies within a half-mile of the Pikake and a 24-hour Safeway and Longs Drugs is 4 miles south of us. We have all the convenience of home plus instant tranquility. Come to Maui and let the sounds of the Ocean soothe your restless soul.

As stated before, the best activity is hanging loose. If you have ever had a desire to be completely relaxed and totally stress free, Pikake B-5, Maui's Best Ocean Front is the place to be. If I have a need to do, I go to Valley Isle Fitness and fill that need, so I can hang loose without guilt.

We have a Travel Agent friend who is involved with cruises and when the cruise ship gets to Maui, I pick him up and bring him to Pikake, where he spends the whole time, just hanging loose and keeping away from all the activities associasted with cruises. He is so happy to simply relax and rest. That is the best feature of the Pikake, Maui, it is a place to get away from the hustle and bustle and yet a place that also offers all the activities listed and some not on the lists like Helicopter Tours and Whale watching form our Lanai or from a tour boat.
