Tropical ambiance with all the comforts of home

The 500 sq.feet air-conditioned apartment is upstairs (downstairs is the open garage), surrounded by a lovely Hawaiian tropical garden with bamboos, palm trees, gingers, heliconias and fruit trees. The inside is cozy and elegant. A separate bedroom with a queen-sized bed, full bath, and full kitchen complement the layout.
Legal permitting

Rent with confidence. As many of you know, the County of Maui has been shutting down many vacation rentals operating illegally without a permit. Maui By The Sea, has always operated under a legal County of Maui permit and our current permit is valid through 2011.
The ocean is your front yard

Walk out into the front yard, and watch surfers enjoying the beautiful blue waves! Maui by the Sea's property is located right on the ocean, fronting a popular local surf break. The entertainment never stops!

Your cottage is 150 feet from the ocean. (Access to the water is possible but there is no beach in front of the property; it is a rocky shoreline). A sandy beach is 200 yards from the cottage with access for windsurfing, surfing and snorkeling; or if you wish, just sunbathing on the golden sand.

A short drive down the coast takes you to Baldwin Beach, the nicest beach on Maui's North Shore with long long stretches of white sand, crystal clear water, lifeguards, pavilions, and showers.

Maui by the Sea is a great vacation rental for beach and water sports lovers, with a great ambiance and location. It’s the perfect place for your honeymoon! The ocean is at the door, the beach is a short walk away, and Paia, the coolest little town in Maui is very near. Kahului Airport is only ten miles away from our little heaven, and many of Maui's most popular attractions are within easy reach.

Although only a few square blocks in size, Paia is “choke”-full of unique boutiques, great restaurants, and live music venues. There is even an excellent health food store, as well as gas stations, a post office and a bank.

World famous Ho'okipa Beach is a very popular destination for windsurfers, surfers, and kiteboarders. The steady trade winds, clear warm water, and great surf make Ho'okipa the beach of choice for watersports, and the home of many world class watersporting events, such as the Windsurfing Aloha Classic.

The Maui by the Sea cottage is home away from home with an ocean view. The covered deck makes it real special. Sit down in the morning and have breakfast while looking at the ocean. Maybe you will see some whales. Looking at the spectacular West Maui mountains.
Enjoy the sunset at night while having diner and grilling on the gas barbecue.
Come down and relax by the ocean, sitting on the lounge chairs. Read a book, enjoy some pupus (appetizers) and a drink. Watch the surfers or the stand up paddle boarders.

* Nightly Rate $199 + 11.42 % tax. * Rate is for 1 or 2 persons. Add $25/day for one additional guest. * Reservation is held by a 50% down payment due upon receipt of reservation invoice. Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. * Minimum stay 7 nights. Shorter stays accepted with a $50 cleaning fee if booked at the last minute or if it fits perfectly between 2 other bookings. * If you cancel prior to 60 days before arrival, we will refund your deposit less a cancellation fee of $165 or 10% off the total amount of the booking (whichever is greater) to cover expenses incurred and lost booking opportunities, and less all applicable agent and credit card fees. * If you cancel within 60 days prior to arrival, you will receive your deposit refunded for days rebooked minus above cancellation fee ($165 or 10% off the total amount of the booking, agent and credit card fees). No refund for early departures.
