Imagine yourself in this scene: You are seated on a beautiful, custom made bamboo sofa in a large, well lit condo. You are watching one of your favorite cable channels on a flat-screen, high-def, 32" TV. The TV shares a bamboo cabinet with a modern stereo system. If you turn your head to the right, you look through a large lanai to a view of green mountains and waterfalls. The world-famous Makai Golf Course is just across the street. If you want to check in with the rest of the world, you have free high-speed Internet access. There's even a printer/copier/scanner for those who bring work, or simply want to check in online and print out their boarding passes.

You can also escape the outside world by stepping outside and walking over to the Sandpiper Village pool area, located in a village green. There is a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, BBQs, vending machines, full bathrooms, and ample deck furniture. Or, for an even better escape, you can walk four blocks to a trailhead that follows a stream down to the ocean. From there, you can walk to your left for one of the north shore's best snorkeling beaches, or to the right for a lagoon and waterfall. You are just a few blocks, a few minutes, but a world away from the condo.

If you want to venture further, the world's most beautiful beaches are minutes away by car. Historic Hanalei is only five minutes away to the west. Drive beyond Hanalei and you encounter the enchanting and mysterious Na Pali Coast. The Kalalau Trail begins where the highway ends at Ke'e Beach. If you venture east of Princeville, the historic Kilauea Lighthouse and Wildlife Refuge is only five minutes to the east. Anini Beach is on the way to Kilauea and "Secret" Beach is just beyond it. Keep heading west and you'll come to historic Kapa'a and its beachfront promenada. If you have time, there are wonderful sights on the south side of the Island, such as Waimea Canyon, Koke'e State Park and Polihale State Park on the western shore.

But nothing approaches the magical beauty of the north shore, with its rugged green mountains, waterfall, Na Pali Coast, expansive white and gold sand beaches, and ferns and flowers galore. It is one of the most special places on Earth.

For your convenience, there is a shopping center nearby with a grocery store and two restaurants. There is good dining in Hanalei as well. Shopping is good in Hanalei, Kapa'a, and Kilauea and, for grocers and beverages, there is a Costco in Lihue and a Safeway in Kapa'a.

The Emerald Suite is only 45 minutes from the airport in Lihue. We will provide you with a map, as well as keybox and parking instructions. Our guests enjoy free, assigned, onsite parking. All of the amenities of beautiful Sandpiper Village are also free. The Sandpiper Village is a quiet, well-maintained facility with garden-like grounds. It is out of the tsunami zone, yet just a ten minute walk from the beach. There is no better location on the North Shore.

If balance is not paid on or before a date 45 days before first date of occupancy, the owner reserves the right to cancel the reservation and retain the deposit as liquidated damages. The reservation will be considered irrevocably confirmed unless cancelled at least 120 hours prior to noon HST on the first date of occupancy. Otherwise the entire sum paid will be retained.
