We can try to convince you that this is a real place, a good deal, something you won't regret. On our website we have actual scanned letters from many of our previous guests who tell it better and we hope you come and read their words. But for now, this rental (like all our rentals) was not just thrown together but painstakingly thought out and put together with much care. We continue to keep it in top notch shape. When you arrive it is spotless. Everything you need is there from the perspective of linens, extra pillows, blankets, dishes, cups, silverware, the basics you would want if it were your own weekend getaway retreat. People tend to forget that Hawaii has sun and that is heat. We are at an optimal elevation where you can get restful sleep at night without the humidity and temperatures lower toward the town and beach. Coming all the way to Hawaii to box yourself up in a rubber stamped unit and turn on air conditioning will not be a superior experience to staying at one of our rentals where you welcome the fresh air and get to hear the natural sounds that are so wonderful and make your stay that much more memorable. People comment on the bed, yes we went the extra measure to make sure when it is time to lay down and sleep you will be cuddled in the same mattress we use ourselves. Satellite has all the movie channels as well as local and New York channels for the news feeds. Our WIFI is serious, with two transmitters that blanket the house. Outside there is much to explore on the acre, and people are known to walk up and down the neighborhood or one acre plots during the mornings and early afternoons. Normally very quite, yet you are just a short drive up the street to a neighborhood grocery store, gas station and LOCAL hot food (and hamburgers) outfit. The other direction about 10 minutes to the main town and 15 minutes to the pier or harbor where you can get right into the water. Centrally located so you can go to most points and spend half a day, then come back and recharge, go out again for more, but when you do want to stay home you have a nice comfortable place you want to stay at and not run away from. Private entrance, private full bath, kitchenette, full size frostless refrigerator, close off street parking, space to roam and walk, start fruit trees, avocado trees -- yours to pick and eat when in season. Friendly neighbors, quiet neighborhood yet easy access to all the many things the Big Island has to offer. And also 15 minutes from the Kona Airport and about the same to Costco, where you can pick up your groceries and fill up gas the cheapest anywhere. Just up the street a mile is a local grocery and restaurant. Down the street about 4 miles are many fast food places like Wendy's and McDonald's but also many local style food restaurants. As well within 10-15 minutes normally is Costco, Wal-Mart, K-Mart and many local shops you probably would not be familiar with the names. We have three big supermarkets within 10-15 minutes besides Costco. Beaches are similar, closest 10ish minutes but you have to remember this is Hawaii and we have scores of beaches and we are surrounded by water -- you are on the COAST. There is no swimming pool that can compete with swimming in the ocean. All kinds of activities better planned if you pick up a guidebook & decide which are a "must" and filter them a bit depending on how long you are here. You can remain very entertained and have full days of different things with a 3 week stay -- yes 3 weeks, otherwise get a guide book & whittle the wish list down.

Kitchen is a small compact kitchenette. This unit is one big studio with a private bathroom and private entrance. We include toaster, coffee maker, coffee grinder (this is the land of 100% Kona Coffee -- which we also produce and sell by the way). Inside you have chest of drawers and a cabinet so you can unpack and enjoy your stay. Inside is a small table and chairs, then right outside your door is a sun canopy with another outside table and chairs. On the grounds are more chairs and a picnic table and common barbecue.

Our rates are the same all year! The $65 nightly rate is for 2 people, the unit can take a 3rd with a rollaway bed that you need to ask for ahead. A third person adds $10 to the rate. We ask for a Damage Deposit = to the rate ($65), which is refundable with basic courtesy after your stay. If you cancel the Damage Deposit is fully refunded. $500 to book (or if your invoice is less, the total amount). We ask for bookings to be finalized 60 days in advance, & we ask for the same amount of time to cancel. If you cancel < 60 days we refund only if we can re-rent & for the amount we can re-rent (since long terms are a lower rate rents do not always translate equally just by days). We collect taxes of 12.42% on RENT but the Damage Deposit is not taxed. 2 night min. One nite stays are surcharged $20. Check-in after 3PM Check-out before 12 noon
