Everything Hawaii has to offer is on the Big Island, all within a days drive. The volcano is active and lava is flowing and it's less than two hours away. Where else can you drive thru a volcano? Water falls, lush valleys for hiking, secluded beaches, cattle ranches, helicopter rides, horse rides, mule rides, world class restaurants, it's all here on the Big Island. Wonderful snorkeling and scuba diving right off shore. And yes, it is true. You can ski in the morning and swim in the afternoon during the winter when our mountain tops are covered in snow. But you must bring your own skiis. You can drive to the top and climb to the top of the 13,000 feet plus mountains. Bring a jacket, even in the summer for this trip.
