See our to die for views of the lake and of mountains in three states. Pink sunsets melting behind the mountains are magnificent! Bring your camera. Perched on a peninsula in the main part of the lake (big water!), you can watch your children and friends tubing and skiing right in front of you. The dock is large enough for your boat or a rental boat to dock during your stay.

Our exciting new addition and renovation to the lake house has made our place inside as much fun as it is outside. This is what you will see:

Stunning all wood floors, walls, and vaulted ceilings crafted with hickory, red oak, black walnut and pine. Penthouse master bedroom with its private deck overlooking the lake activity, a king size canopy bed (with a pillow top mattress), and a steam shower and whirlpool tub in the Tuscan master bathroom. State of the art kitchen with the newest stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops, with roomy dining for 12 or more. Country French bedroom with hand painted rustic furniture, high ceiling, and its own bathroom. HDTV on DirectTV for spectacular TV watching.

A large upstairs bedroom has a king size bed with a pillow top mattress, a full bathroom, a spectacular view the minute you wake up, and a beautiful stained glass window shining its bright colors into your room.

Downstairs is a perfect place for kids to play games and watch their own large screen TV. Filled with Native American artifacts it is often visited by adults as well. The kids dorm has a bunk bed and a pillow top twin bed.

On our lot we have preserved and renovated one of the original cottages built after the Burton Dam was finished in the early 1930s. Used as a guest cottage, it still has a working hand stacked stone fireplace and antique furniture in the bedroom which has a double bed and a bathroom with an old fashioned tub. Including a full kitchen, the cottage has been lovingly decorated to keep its charm and cozy feeling.

A favorite place to relax is the wrap around porch with its hand made cypress rocking chairs and large lounge chairs for complete comfort while you read or snooze. Snoozing is also allowed in the hammock swinging next to the lake.

BEDROOM SUMMARY: Every bedroom (including the loft) is enclosed and has its own bathroom. Here are the types of beds in each bedroom:

Master (upstairs)- 1 king size bed
Loft (upstairs) - 1 king size bed
Main floor - 1 double bed
Basement - 1 bunk bed and 1 twin (3 people)
Guest cottage - 1 double

Additionally there are 3 comfortable queen size sofa beds:
Main house living room
Basement game room
Guest cottage living room

If needed, the study room on the main floor can also be used as a bedroom. It has a comfortable roll away bed for one person. The study also has its own bathroom.

It also has a playground area for kids. Slide and play in the brisk river water at Sliding Rock. Take in the mountain views at Popcorn Overlook. Taste the excellent wines made at the Tiger and Persimmons Wineries.

Close by restaurants recommended include: La Prades (you can get there by boat!), Joni's, Lake Burton Grocery, Batesville General Store, and Brooks Store and Diner.

2010 In season.. 5/1/10-11/30/10.. $3900/wk; $550/wkday night; $650/wkend night.

Two night minimum. Ask owner about holiday rates.

Half of the rental fee is required up front to reserve your week. Rental fee balance, $200 cleaning fee and $750 damage deposit required the week before your stay. The damage deposit is refunded after an inspection.
