Vacation Rental Description
Take "TimeAway" from your hectic world, relax and enjoy this Private Mountain Cabin for two. Tucked away in the woods, approximately 3 miles from downtown Helen is the perfect location to enjoy the northeast Georgia Mountains and all they have to offer.
This private cabin features vaulted ceilings and pine walls throughout.
The Loft Bedroom has a comfy King Size bed with a pillow top mattress, side end tables and a five drawer chest to store your clothing. We use only soft cotton sateen sheets for a comfortable, restful sleep. The loft bedroom overlooks the spacious open living room area.
The Living Room area comes complete with a wood fireplace, LCD flat screen TV with cable, and a DVD player with a selection of DVD movies. Lounge in the recliner or on the love seat and relax while you enjoy your favorite shows.
We have a full Kitchen with a refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, and a microwave. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, cooking utensils and also includes a coffee maker, toaster, and blender.
The cabin has a full Bathroom with tub/shower combination and all linens are provided.
Outside on the Deck is the Private Hot Tub for two. We have added white rope lighting to enhance the romantic atmosphere at night. The deck also features a gas grill, picnic table, rocking chairs, and an outdoor rustic cooler for your outdoor dining and comfort.

We have Two Cabins (almost identical) with the same amenities. The cabins are located on a one acre lot, far enough apart for privacy but within walking distance of each other. Pictures of both cabins are shown on this site. Ask us about the Discounts that are available when renting both cabins together.

The cabin was a perfect size for us as a couple away for a weekend. Not far away from town, it was convenient to the shops and stores. We had a roaring fire in the fireplace, and while sitting in the jacuzzi saturday afternoon, a black bear ambled by not 30 feet away. Awesome experience.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the usage of the cabin this past weekend. My boyfriend and I had an amazing time. The cabin was perfect! We had everything we needed. Everything was immaculate, and wonderfully stocked. It was such a wonderfully peaceful time from our very busy schedules. We will definitely be back again! :)

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay, it was secluded enough to be considered a "getaway" yet still so close to downtown Helen - it's in a perfect location! The cabin was cozy and comfortable - we felt right at home! The bed was SO comfortable, that was the hardest part about leaving! Elaine, thank you so much! My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at the cabin. We loved how secluded it was. I wouldn't change a thing about it and we definitely plan on coming back up sometime. I wanted to tell you, we actually had an interesting encounter our first night there. We stepped outside for a few and heard an awful shrill cry that sounded like a woman screaming, about three times... we both got spooked and decided to call Helen P.D. just to be safe.... the officer shows up about 45 minutes later (laughing nonetheless) and lets us know that what we heard was a panther. Apparently it's mating season and thats their mating call, and that it does sound just like a woman screaming. He said we should consider ourselves lucky that we heard it because it's rarely heard by the locals. Go figure. Other than the wild panther adventure, we had a very relaxing weekend... and a great story to tell. Haha. Oh, and we had some firewood leftover so we just left it in the tin bucket by the fireplace. Thank you again so much, Elaine. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation and not to mention, we lucked out with a beautiful weekend (it was about 65/70 the whole time). We have every intention of coming back in a few months so I'll contact you when the time comes around. Sam R.

Our stay was splendid. We enjoyed it so much. The cabin was very comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed the bed so much. It was SOOOO comfortable. The only issue that we ran into was that there were no extra trash bags. We came prepared with paper towels and toilet paper, but we failed to bring extra trash bags. Thank you so much for working with me on such a short notice. We appreciate it very much. Helen is a very charming town and we would love to come back again soon. Liza L.

Sorry IT has taken me so long to respond back to you. But the cabin was great, everything was just as described. Very quiet and cozy, close to everything in the area. Had a great weekend, the bed was a dream to sleep in and hot tub was wonderful. I will recommend it to all my friends and family. Was perfect for a weekend getaway for me and my wife. Would be great for any couple wanting to spend some quality time with each other alone. William S..
