80th Birthday Celebration
Guest: va traveler (hampton roads, virginia)
Date of Stay: June 18, 2011 Review Submitted: June 27, 2011
What a wonderful time we had celebrating our Mom's 80th birthday. The property is exactly as described and the location cannot be beat. The bedroom layout was perfect for our family. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom which is great. We spent our time on a rented pontoon boat or on a jet ski. When not on/in the lake, we were swimming in the pool and just hanging out on the patio. Jim and Sally were gracious by allowing us to use some of their kitchen products. I find this an added touch because with most rental properties, you must go buy everything even when you only need a very small portion. They even supplied the coffee. The view of the lake from every room is beautiful. The house is very clean and decorated very nice. We grilled most of our dinners because the weather was perfect and Jim has a great grill. Thank you Jim and Sally for opening your home so that our family can create such great memories. We highly recommend this property to create your own memories.

5/5Relaxing Vacation Home

The best relaxing vacation our group has ever experienced. We normally vacation oceanfront and decided a change in scenery. From here on out lakefront is the only way for us. The house is amazing with one of the most beautiful views around. The house is spacious and well decorated in a elegant but cozy decor. Our group loves gourmet cooking and this kitchen was well equipped and then some. The backyard is so huge the kids played and played non stop. The kids loved being on the lake and swam everyday. We enjoyed tubing and even brought a paddle board to get exercise and explore the lake. We felt so relaxed in this house we never felt the need to get out. Sally was very helpful with all the information she provided. Jim was gracious enough to meet us at the house and make sure all our needs were met. We would definitely stay in this house again. I cannot stress enough how beautiful and peaceful this house and the lake was. Our children at least once a week tell us how much they miss the lake house. I have to admit we do too. We just might have to book 2 weeks next summer. Enjoy!!!

Just perfect and more than we expected! What a wonderful home. Had our daughter's wedding nearby, and it was so convenient and comfortable for relaxing during the down time. Utilized the personal chef recommended by the owners and that was extremely reasonable. Went fishing, turkey hunting, and quail hunting, and shot sporting clays near by. Plenty to do around Lake Oconee! Thanks Sally and Jim for sharing your home with us!

5/5Great Retreat for Multiple Families
Guest: V (Atlanta)
Date of Stay: September 12, 2010 Review Submitted: October 28, 2010
Our group spent a week here in September of 2010. (four couples in our 30s and five babies, all from Atlanta, NY and Seattle). Beautiful views, clean, comfortable and exactly as advertised. The owners were very friendly and easy to work with. The property is huge - plenty of space to spread out and have some privacy (for naps, catching up back at the office, etc). Activities included pool time, boating, spa day at the Ritz for the girls, walking/jogging the area, taking kids to the park, sundowners by the lake, and showing off our chef skills in the well equipped kitchen/grill area. We are not golfers, but that's obviously a big draw to the area as well. I'd recommend this for families and girls/guys weekends.

5/5Beautiful Home...Wonderful Memories!

This home was everything it was portrayed to be and more! We stayed for a week with our married children & grandchildren...plenty of room for everyone. We unloaded our Sports Locker and brought it all along...fishing, golf, water skiing, tubing, biking and long walks. The pool was a favorite for the very small grandchildren and adults alike...very refreshing, even when the temperature climbed into the 90's. Every room was clean and well-maintained and the gourmet kitchen was a favorite place to congregate. We particularly loved the view of the lake from the Master Bedroom and comfortable sitting area just outside to read and enjoy some quiet time. The owners were so personable, helpful and extremely hospitable and available at our arrival. We were thrilled with our experience and look forward to returning!

What a beautiful home. We spent our Thanksgiving holiday 09 with family at this home. We were able to relax together, but the house was large enough to have your secluded quite time. Home owners were helpful in making our stay outstanding.
