Sanibel is situated in the Gulf of Mexico on the South West coast of Florida. The island is 20 miles by about 3 miles and is accessed via a causeway from the mainland just West of Fort Myers. Sanibel's strict planning laws have maintained a tropical island paradise atmosphere. No buildings are over 3 storeys, no fast food chains and strict traffic laws. There is almost zero crime on the island. Furnished in a traditional 'Sanibel' style the main living area is open plan with wood flooring and furnished with entertaining in mind. It is a large secluded plot with only a few steps via a deeded access to the beach. Each bedroom enjoys full air conditioning, TV and a full range of home comforts. The home cinema features a high end sound/DVD system with widescreen projector TV. There is a range of board games and library and a full laundry room. There is wheelchair access via the elevator to the main living area and one of the bedrooms.
