From the lanai on the second floor you can see three palm tress, a walkover pass from the grass to the sand and all the beach out front. It is your front yard. There are magnificent views of the waves, the endless gulf, the many variety of birds, pelicans swooping down to get their fish and some dolphins swimming by in the mornings. You can see sunrise from the lanai and also sunset in winter, people walking by picking up shells and people resting under multicolored umbrells that dot the beach. The newly padded furniture on the lanai make it very comfortable for breakfast and lunches as well as "beach watching". There are 2 large HDTVs in the unit, one in the bedroom that makes later evening enjoyable. There is WiFi, so bring the laptop. We have just installed new carpeting in the living room as well as new large white tiles throughout the unit and on the lanai. The lanai has become another room as it is well decorated with new table and cushions for the chaise lounge and dining chairs. If you wake during the night, look out at the beach and see the shellers trying to find a Juonia by flashlights at low tide. Shellers are there nightly as well as during the day. There are bikes for rent on site as there are bike paths off the road all over the island. Explore the nature preserve, Ding Darling and see all the magnificent birds of Sanibel. There are tennis courts, the pool is beachside, shuffleboard, basketball and a wonderful picnic grove with 3 gas grills and lighted palm trees to add island ambience to your picnic. The best is the beautiful beach, for resting, reading, socializing, kite flying, and swimming. There are always a few people fishing from the beach. Enjoy too, the island itself with wonderful restaurants, shops, and boat rides to differnt islands. Go to Useppa and have the dolphins follow the boat for most of the ride as they put on a show for the tourists. That is a Captiva Cruise and it stops out at Useppa for lunch and a walk along the pink path to the Hollywodd stars cottages of the twenties. Have lunch at the beautiful Collier Inn. Enjoy this day trip for minimal cash; it is wonderful. Tarpon Bay Marina isn't far from the condo at the end of Tarpon Bay Rd. and it also has boat rides and rents canoes for exploring the Ding Darling Preserve from the water. It is well worth the trip. A movie theatre is also on Tarpon Bay road and Baileys supermarket. Enjoy the beauty of Sanibel as no sign is over 3 ft. by 2 ft. so you really need to look for the signs as they are part of the landscape. Golf is also close by at Beach View Golf course. Take your vacation in paradise.

The cinema is about a mile away on Tarpon Bay Rd. There is a new recreational facility if you want to get your exercises in during your vacation; it is on the Sanibel-Captiva Rd. next to the elementary school. The office has brochures and it is very popular. Sanibel has its own theatre and changes plays about every two weeks. It is small and entertaining and the Big Arts has also done a lot with concerts and plays. They had some great nights this last year. Big arts also offers courses in Art, computer, etc during the week. They usually run about 3-6 weeks for any intersted in a longer stay. The boat rides from Sanibel Marina and Captiva Cruises are really my favorite. Enjoy the dolphins following the boats as you ride to your chosen destination. Golf is popular at Beachview Golf course (public) and they have a variety of times and prices available. We also enjoy Shellpoint right off the island. Restaurants abound and they are a favorite topic around the pool. Enjoy.

There are bike rentals available on site and bike paths all over the island. There are two large screen New HDTVs, one on the wall in the bedroom and one in the living room. You will find the condo sparkling with also shampoo, soap, coffee filters, laundry soap starters. There a beach chairs outside at your parking place in the shed in front of the car. There is a tennis court, basketball, shuffleboard and a wonderful picnic grove that contains three gas grills and tables. It is lighted at night with lights in the palm trees. The gardens are superbly done with constant flowers coming all winter. The cleaning is paid for in the rental bill.

There is a $500 deposit for the off season rates and $1000 deposit for the winter season or High season rates. The deposit is made usually with a call to the office and a credit card. It is deducted immediately upon arrival from the price of the week's lodging. There is also a Florida sales tax that the office collects of 11%.
