Vacation Rental Description
Kestrel Meadows is a neat 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom house in the newest sector of Pine Valley. It backs onto an inland waterway and is well located for local beaches. The accommodation consists of:
A Formal Living Room with views out over the lanai
A Family Room with sliding doors to the pool
A Dining Room with seating for 6 guests
A Nook with a table and 2 chairs
A Kitchen which is well stocked with everything you could want for eating in
A Utility Room with washing machine and tumble dryer
A Double Garage - because of the bicycles, there is parking for one car
Bedroom 1 is a master ensuite with King size bed and doors to the lanai
Bedroom 2 is a Queen Bedroom which shares the 2nd bathroom
Bedroom 3 has two single beds and shares the 2nd bathroom
There is a lanai with a table and 6 chairs and 2 sun loungers.
Facilities
A cleaning and linen service is available on request at an additional charge
Activities
This is a coastal area, so anything to do with the sea is available! Boating, fishing, sailing, jetski's etc. Busch Gardens is 90 minutes north of the house and a good waterpark is 60 minutes south of the house. There are 2 tennis courts in the centre of Rotonda as well as a children's play area.
Rotonda has 6 golf courses and the golf membership covers 4 of those courses.
There is a guide in the house to help you to find your way around the area and includes information on good restaurants, great beaches, sports facilities etc.

Welcome to Rotonda West – a peaceful, planned community situated near the beautiful Gulf of Mexico in southwest Florida. It is located mid-way between Sarasota and Fort Myers. The community is predominantly full-time homeowners and their families, as well as tenants and those who winter in the community.There are five golf courses operated by Rotonda Golf and Country club. Thirty miles of picturesque canals, lakes and ponds wind through the community and offer fishing and boating opportunities for its residents.
Many exotic and beautiful birds call Rotonda West home, as it is a designated Bird Sanctuary. Nearby recreation facilities, beaches, theaters, sporting events, and fine restaurants are available for all.
The weather usually stays relatively mild. In the summer, it's not uncommon for temperatures to get into the mid-90's, but this is tempered by sea breezes from the Gulf. At night in the summer, temperatures quickly drop to the low to mid 70's. In the winter, hard freezes are rare, but occasionally occur. It's more common to have frost on the ground briefly in pre-dawn hours, but it melts shortly after sunrise. This usually only happens 2 or 3 times during the winter. Temperatures average 50 - 70 degrees during the winter. On a sunny winter day, it's rare for the temperature to stay below 50 degrees for long.
Summer thunderstorms are not uncommon. Florida is known as the lightning capital of the world. The dry season is in the spring.

Have just returned home having spent 2 great weeks with our Grandchildren at Disney in Orlando, then moving onto Kestrel Meadows to "chill out" for a week. What a beautiful home, everything was spotlessly clean and so comfortable, there was everything you could wish for. The pool was great just to laze around in and cool down, the house is not overlooked and is so peaceful and private. We watched a family of Racoons in the garden one afternoon and did see an Alligator swimming in the river as well as a couple of Otters - amazing. We really loved the house and would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet, lazy holiday. Englewood Beach is about a 10 minute drive away where you can watch wonderful sunsets. Good bite to eat at Lock & Key and at Boca Grande there is the Loose Caboose, an old Railway Station that serves good food and homemade icecreams. A good night out was a visit to the Baseball. The management company had arranged tickets for us and our American sister in law was able to help us with the rules. We had a SatNav/GBS in our car which was a great help in getting around. Would definately hope to return here. A perfect end to a lovely holiday.

The pictures were taken recently and accurately reflect the accomodation, so much so that you feel immediately at home as soon as you walk through the door.
The booking process was quick and easy. The directions to the house were good and we found it without a hitch.
The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood and is not overlooked at the back so you can lounge around the pool area with no fear of prying eyes (well except for the odd gator swimming past in the canal!)
The house was immaculately clean upon arrival. The whole property is well maintained. The master bedroom and bathroom are huge. Plenty of towels available inc beach towels. Hair dryers in the bathrooms. Plenty of cutlery, crockery and equipment in the kitchen.
~ Nice gas BBQ.
~ Good laundry facilities.
~ Fast WiFi and a large screen TV.
~ Nice pool which was lovely and warm with the heat on. Pool man came to vac and treat during our stay, he was very friendly and efficient.
We can highly recommend this property and would stay here again. Nice local park with play equipment, slides, climbing frame, swings.
House is only a few minutes drive from local shops and restaurants.
Nicolas kitchen is a good local Italian, La Stanza is also good but a bit further away.
We hired some canoes and went kayaking one afternoon, great fun around the mangroves. Plenty of day trip opportunities going both north and south. The local beach is great for finding fossilised sharks teeth.
I think it was Venice beach that we found some sand dollar skeletons.
All in all a good place for a holiday.
The management company were great, we had to extend our stay due to delayed flights and they were really helpful.

The pictures of the house really don't do it justice. Inside was immaculate. The front and back gardens are superbly landscaped and maintained. Not over-looked at all. Very quiet during the day and night.
Great wildlife watching. Plenty of visits by the local Gators!
We will return.
