Everyone who stays at Beulah loves it, it has such a wonderfully welcoming air about it and although easily accessible, is tucked away and offers great privacy to guests staying with us. The living area has two main areas, a formal living and dining room and a seperate family room which provides adults and children with seperate entertaining areas! Outside, the lanai is yet another living space with 6 chairs around a large table and 4 comfortable sunloungers. The kitchen is particularly well stocked and guests who prefer to eat at home can do so knowing that however obscure a kitchen gadget might be - they will find it in our kitchen! We have a small table and 4 chairs in the breakfast nook for those who prefer to eat in. The bedroom accommodation is good - the master suite (King), 2nd bedroom (Queen) and 3rd bedroom (2 singles). All bedrooms have walk-in closets. The 2 bathrooms each have hairdryers and both have showers with a seperate tub in the master suite.

Fishing For Something to Do?: Rotonda is perfectly placed for keen anglers. With the coast and the coastal waterway right on your doorstep, backwater fishing and salt water fishing are available. For a relaxing few hours, there are good fish stocks in the waterway behind the house. If you want to experience a day with Capt Jarrett Lombard who is one of the top local fishing guides, we can arrange this for you. He runs several flats boats and takes up to 3 anglers at a time and can provide up to 4 boats at any one time, catering for parties of up to 12 anglers. The enthusiastic angler may well have seen Capt Lombard on the ESPN channel. He competes nationally in the Oh Boy O'Berto Redfish tournaments and his clients travel thousands of miles to spend a day with him. We can arrange this for you, subject to availability, but we do need to give him plenty of notice prior to your arrival.

Rotonda, South West Florida is set on a thick finger of land with water on three sides. Close to the beautiful Cape Haze, fabulous Boca Grande & quaint Englewood, halfway between Tampa and Naples on the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy a relaxing and sun-soaked holiday. For the more energetic, there is so much to do - you can play numerous sports, jet ski, parasail, fish or charter a boat from one of the area’s marinas. 
 
Golf: The 'Golf Scoop' promotion in low season offers unlimited free golf on 4 of the Rotonda courses (81 holes). There is a £35 administration fee and if golf karts are used, this is a personal expense. In High Season, the Golf Scoop is a 'must' if you play two or more rounds of golf a week.  
 
FREE Baseball: Why not enjoy watching the Charlotte Stone Crabs. The minor leaguers are the Tampa Bay Rays new Class-A Florida State League affiliate. Enjoy watching one or more games between mid April 2010 and early September, 2010.

Welcome to Rotonda West – a peaceful, planned community situated near the beautiful Gulf of Mexico in southwest Florida. It is located mid-way between Sarasota and Fort Myers. The community is predominantly full-time homeowners and their families, as well as tenants and those who winter in the community.

There are five golf courses operated by Rotonda Golf and Country club. Thirty miles of picturesque canals, lakes and ponds wind through the community and offer fishing and boating opportunities for its residents.

Many exotic and beautiful birds call Rotonda West home, as it is a designated Bird Sanctuary. Nearby recreation facilities, beaches, theaters, sporting events, and fine restaurants are available for all.


The weather usually stays relatively mild. In the summer, it's not uncommon for temperatures to get into the mid-90's, but this is tempered by sea breezes from the Gulf. At night in the summer, temperatures quickly drop to the low to mid 70's. In the winter, hard freezes are rare, but occasionally occur. It's more common to have frost on the ground briefly in pre-dawn hours, but it melts shortly after sunrise. This usually only happens 2 or 3 times during the winter. Temperatures average 50 - 70 degrees during the winter. On a sunny winter day, it's rare for the temperature to stay below 50 degrees for long.

Summer thunderstorms are not uncommon. Florida is known as the lightning capital of the world. The dry season is in the spring.

Hello Dot and Steve,
We just wanted to let you know that after a three day car trip from New York we have arrived at Beulah. You have an absolutely beautiful home. The decor is outstanding and everything we need is here. It is truly lovely and we feel very comfortable.

We like the peaceful and quiet location and we are enjoying the 70 degree weather after having 10 degrees in NY.

Had beautiful weather in the 80's the whole time. Took advantage of the great community Oyster Creek Park and took water aerobic class and they have a great hiking trail. Lots of outside restaurants where you can see the dolphins splashing in the water. Plenty of shopping areas for anything one might need and also took advantage of the beaches, watched the beautiful sunsets. Your home is very beautiful, it really felt like our home!

Our daughter has lived in the area for 6 years. We make the drive about two to four times a year to Florida from Tennessee (about 14 hours). It was really nice to have room to spread out in a lovely home this year. After the drive, it was a very relaxing place to be close to our family, but not crowding them. We did a lot of boating, fishing and shopping. We miss the mountains, but this home makes our visit more like a vacation. Thanks!

What a remarkable time we had at your lovely home! We saw wild pigs, gorgeous birds (Anhinga's) otters, lizards and more! We love the privacy and quiet your area provides and the weather was wonderful! We went to Venice beach and saw pelicans, sandpipers and many other shore birds as well as dolphins jumping for fish in the distance. We found a fabulous place for ice cream - Nokomis Orange Grove on Albee Farm Rd off of 41 in Venice - Huge crreamy scoops on cones! We swam every day in your pool! Thanks!

Fabulous and Fun
Our stay at Beulah was fabulous! This home was charming and very private. The pool area is secluded and there is a lovely lake view from the family room. The skies are dramatic and the wildlife fun to watch. There are bikes to use to investigate the area. This lovely home is not far from a bird sanctuary and wildlife preserve to there is natural beauty everywhere you look. We saw armadillos, otters, wild pigs grazing nearby and magnificient birds. There are wonderful golf courses nearby as well that we used often. The house layout is excellent if you have a family. You will all be close, yet have your private spaces.

Also you are very close to beaches where you can find prehistoric shark teeth! I collected a baggie full just walking the beach. There are postcards that you can buy that help you match your newly found shark teeth to the specific shark. The shells and sea glass we found were lovely too!

I would highly recommend this home for a vacation experience you will want to repeat. We loved it so we plan to return every year as long as we are able.

Sublimity
It was the most ideal place for 2 adults and 2 teenagers to recover from our 1st week in Orlando - doing the theme parks. Only 2 hours drive away, so it was accessible should you want to revisit for a day.

The layout is superb, offering ample space and ensuite facilities. Wifi, stereo and TV/DVD's also enabled us to at least chill out into the late evening. The BBQ was used to good effect in the lanai area, where we could also dip into the pool in the coolest part of the day. The Jacuzzi was fired up on a frequent basis too.

The villa and surroundings are spotless, with the villa beautifully decorated and served with exceptional standard of domestic facilities including TV's in the lounge and master bedroom, ktichen was well fitted out with fridge (huge) cooker etc, dishwasher and microwave.

Overall, this is exceptional and we hope to revisit in June 2010. Ideal for parties, but ideally you need to have transport. Highly recommended and exceptional quality. Thanks

Wow! Did we have a great vacation March 11-18 staying in your Beulah home! Thank you so much! We found it even better than the pictures showed. Everything was exceptionally clean. The area was great for golfing, and going to the beach. We had perfect weather.... 80 or 81 every day. We enjoyed lounging at the pool and swimming some laps, and relaxing in the hot tub. We really couldn't have asked for anything better.
