Sunset Hideaway is an extremely elegant home with interior columns and plenty of plant shelves. It is set in the highly popular resident area called Rotonda West. Sunset Hideaway is South rear facing onto a wider inland waterway and is located in well-landscaped grounds. This area is close to beaches to both the west and the south making it an ideal 'spot' for relaxing and an excellent location for golf.  
 
This beautiful home is perfect for guests. The soft furnishing colours are a delight and this house has been furnished by one of the top local interior design companies and is very well stocked. The kitchen is of particular note because of the availability of everything a cook could need to produce a family meal. We provide all linen and 2 sets of sheets for each bed, indoor and beach towels and hairdryers in each bathroom. The house also has high speed wireless internet access as well as TV's in the great room, den and master bedroom. 
 
Sunset Hideaway offers a golf programme which offers 2 named adults and up to 2 children under the age of 14 unlimited golf on 4 of the Rotonda courses comprising 81 holes of great golf. In the summer months, the golf is free, the only cost is a $50.00 admin fee and the hire of golf carts. In the winter, the 1 or 2 named adults can play as often as they want at a low fee of $50.00 per person, per week. They are still liable to pay for golf cart hire! 
 
New this summer will be our baseball offer. For a truly 'American' experience, enjoy one night at our local baseball stadium in prime seats! A fantastic free evening, great for the whole family and a very American experience. Through the summer, we also have local bull riding which is another fabulous night out. Please ask for details.  
 
Sunset Hideaway is serviced by friendly staff with local offices who will be on hand to ensure that your vacation is an excellent one!

Sunset Hideaway has an in-house guide to help our guests to find their way around the area. It includes suggestions for good restaurants, sporting activites, shopping and general information on this beautiful area. 
 
We have 6 golf courses on Rotonda, 4 of which participate in our golf program. There are dozens more outside Rotonda within a 15 mile radius. 
 
This area is particularly well known for fishing. Anything from game fishing in season for Tarpon, Cobia and Shark to inshore and backwater fishing. We can arrange everything for you!

Welcome to Rotonda West – a peaceful, planned community situated near the beautiful Gulf of Mexico in southwest Florida. It is located mid-way between Sarasota and Fort Myers. The community is predominantly full-time homeowners and their families, as well as tenants and those who winter in the community.

There are five golf courses operated by Rotonda Golf and Country club. Thirty miles of picturesque canals, lakes and ponds wind through the community and offer fishing and boating opportunities for its residents.

Many exotic and beautiful birds call Rotonda West home, as it is a designated Bird Sanctuary. Nearby recreation facilities, beaches, theaters, sporting events, and fine restaurants are available for all.


The weather usually stays relatively mild. In the summer, it's not uncommon for temperatures to get into the mid-90's, but this is tempered by sea breezes from the Gulf. At night in the summer, temperatures quickly drop to the low to mid 70's. In the winter, hard freezes are rare, but occasionally occur. It's more common to have frost on the ground briefly in pre-dawn hours, but it melts shortly after sunrise. This usually only happens 2 or 3 times during the winter. Temperatures average 50 - 70 degrees during the winter. On a sunny winter day, it's rare for the temperature to stay below 50 degrees for long.

Summer thunderstorms are not uncommon. Florida is known as the lightning capital of the world. The dry season is in the spring.

Yet again we had a lovely holiday in Sunset Hideaway. It is our second visit there which speaks for itself! . We really enjoy holidaying in such a comfortable home that has everything that suits our requirements. It is lovely to be able to relax by the pool sunbathing or reading or having a dip to cool off in the lovely Floridian climate.


We find ourselves hard pressed to find anywhere better that is close enough to the shops, golf courses, beautiful beaches such as on Boca Grande or in Lemon bay we also love being far away from the hustle and bustle of city life.


In the house the welcome folder is a great source of reference to find everything one needs for a perfect holiday stress free...


Will we be back?? YES we sure will be

We strongly advise anyone looking for a beautiful, immaculately maintained, family villa with own private pool to stop looking now and book Sunset Hideaway. Immediately from booking directly with the owners you'll realise this is their pride and joy and quite rightly so. Obviously you'll find it tastefully furnished and comfortable accomodation but its the detail in this property that makes it a cut above the rest. You'll feel right at home and theres enough lounging rooms (x3) for everyone to find their own private space. The master bedroom overlooking the pool with its huge bathroom and walk in closets complete with hairdryer, fluffy towels, ceiling fan and TV makes it a real home from home. The Villa is meticulously maintained and the management company are there to help out if you need local info and are extremely helpful.

Sunset Hideaway is the best villa we have ever rented. It is filled with light and sunshine, immaculate in every corner and combines the most modern, tasteful design with supreme comfort. The size of the pool was a pleasant surprise - long enough for decent swim strokes! There were lots of small things that added to our stay, such as the availability of towels to take to the beach and a great supply of novels and magazines in the house. We would certainly love to return and have already passed on the details to several sets of friends

We enjoyed one month in your villa. Thank you for allowing us to be here. Weather was cooler than normal, but far better than all the snow at home in Pennsylvania. A few minor issues, but Hugh from Homesearch took good care of us.

Your villa is very comfortable, spacious and perfect for our winter retreat to Florida. We did not use the pool, but enjoyed the lanai. The Golf Scoop was great. We golfed nearly every day. We look forward to returning to the Rotonda next year

Having stayed in and around Rotonda West on several occasions now I must admit that Sunset Hideaway is by far the nicest house we have stayed in. The location is nice and quiet with not a lot of through traffic. It also has that wow factor from the outside. The inside is very tastefully decorated and the heated pool is so relaxing there's no need to go to the beach.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your villa. Everything was fab including the Christmas tree that was lit up in the hallway when we arrived after a long journey. Shopping was great - Miromar outlets was our favourite. Boys loved the golf. Our favourite restaurant was Farlows on the Water - thanks for the recommendation. We had a great day in Naples - watching the sunset from the pier was amazing and Bice (Italian restaurant) on 5th Ave is a must! Weather was disappointing so we didn't make the most of the pool and beach, but there was so much else to do it didn't matter. Thanks again.
