This lovely new home is set in the highly popular resident area called Rotonda West. Foxtail House is South West rear facing onto a pond and is located in well-landscaped grounds. This area is close to beaches to both the west and the south making it an ideal 'spot' for relaxing and an excellent location for golf.  
 
This beautiful home is perfect for guests. It has been furnished by one of the top local interior design companies and is very well stocked, especially the kitchen and all linens are provided and are plentiful. The house also has high speed wireless internet access as well as TV's in the great room, den and master bedroom. 
 
Foxtail House offers a golf program which offers 2 named adults and up to 2 children under the age of 14 unlimited golf on 4 of the Rotonda courses comprising 81 holes of great golf. In the summer months, the golf is free, the only cost is a $50.00 admin fee and the hire of golf carts. In the winter, the 1 or 2 named adults can play as often as they want at a low fee of $50.00 per person, per week. They are still liable to pay for golf cart hire! 
 
Foxtail House is served by friendly staff with local offices who will be on hand to ensure that your vacation is an excellent one!

Welcome to Rotonda West – a peaceful, planned community situated near the beautiful Gulf of Mexico in southwest Florida. It is located mid-way between Sarasota and Fort Myers. The community is predominantly full-time homeowners and their families, as well as tenants and those who winter in the community.

There are five golf courses operated by Rotonda Golf and Country club. Thirty miles of picturesque canals, lakes and ponds wind through the community and offer fishing and boating opportunities for its residents.

Many exotic and beautiful birds call Rotonda West home, as it is a designated Bird Sanctuary. Nearby recreation facilities, beaches, theaters, sporting events, and fine restaurants are available for all.


The weather usually stays relatively mild. In the summer, it's not uncommon for temperatures to get into the mid-90's, but this is tempered by sea breezes from the Gulf. At night in the summer, temperatures quickly drop to the low to mid 70's. In the winter, hard freezes are rare, but occasionally occur. It's more common to have frost on the ground briefly in pre-dawn hours, but it melts shortly after sunrise. This usually only happens 2 or 3 times during the winter. Temperatures average 50 - 70 degrees during the winter. On a sunny winter day, it's rare for the temperature to stay below 50 degrees for long.

Summer thunderstorms are not uncommon. Florida is known as the lightning capital of the world. The dry season is in the spring.

Winter rentals of 28 nights + attract a 25% discount on the accommodation rate. Summer rentals of 28 nights + attract a 15% discount on the accommodation rate. Initial Payment Bookings are confirmed on receipt of a 20% deposit payment with signed booking form. If the booking is made within 2 months of arrival, the full balance plus security deposit will be required by return with the completed booking form. Security Deposit A refundable security deposit of $250 is required to be paid with the balance of the rental.
