We are in the Castaways condominiums, which in itself is very unique and charming. The quaint “Old Florida” feel of the complex features custom Tiki Hut designed condominiums, and is nestled on 300 feet of private beach. You're sure to feel like you’re a guest on Gilligan’s Island! Our clean, bright, southwest-facing beachfront condo has ceramic tile floors throughout, carpeting in the bedroom and is decorated in a whimsical, colorful, “At the Beach” theme. Manasota Key has seven miles of pristine beach. This is truly one of the most laid back, beautiful barrier islands off the gulf coast. There are no high-rises, no traffic lights and no traffic jams! 
 
From our condo, you can easily walk to waterfront restaurants, a local fresh "catch of the day" seafood shop, a convenience store, gift shops, and the popular dockside Tiki bar and grill. With two (no toll) bridges connecting the island to the mainland, you’ll only be two miles away from the City of Englewood. There is an abundance of golf courses nearby. If you’re seeking some adventure, you can enjoy great fishing or snorkeling. There are also boat, sea doo, scooter & bicycle rentals available on the island. Sarasota is 45 minutes to the north and Fort Myers airport is only 80 minutes south, via Interstate 75. Bush Gardens is 2 hours from Englewood and Orlando is 2.5 hours away if you'd like to visit Disney World, Universal Studios or Sea World.  
 
The weather here is beautiful! The temperature on Manasota Key is so perfect that the changing of the seasons often goes unrecognized. This is a subtropical climate in which extreme summer and winter temperatures are mellowed by the presence of the Gulf of Mexico. The average annual temperature is 75 degrees. The shell and pre-historic shark tooth hunting here become very addictive. There's always a treasure trove of new finds after high tide each day. There really is so much to do and see on this beautiful tranquil island. But if just relaxing is more your style, you can simply kick back on your private lanai with your favorite refreshment and do absolutely nothing!
